Be careful Mystic Falls, this event may cause quite the scene.

Also be aware we will be posting the new ghost blog link and with that a few twists of our own. So be sure to track: hauntingstte. The event will start of course on March 7th at 7 PM CST, and end the following Sunday. This only equals one day RP time. Hello from the mods! First of all, we just wanted to give a huge thank you to everyone here at To The End for their amazing rping throughout our first weekend. Secondly, we have a special announcement for all of you we hope you will all like, so here we go!

Starting today, we’re issuing you a writing challenge. Every once in a while we will make new ones, but don’t panic! We want these to be fun and helpful towards your playing. You can use these for plot ideas, character development, or something to boost your muse. Here are a few more details for you:

  • Every challenge will last one week. You have from the day we make the post about challenges to seven days later.
  • Those who have multiple characters will have to complete the challenge for each character.
  • Every challenge entry must be at least two paragraphs. After that minimum, the length is up to the writer.
  • Entries can be written in different formats, such as: letters, diary/journal entires, prose (aka “solos” or “self-paras”)
  • Tag every entry you make with ttewc and track this tag as well. This way you can look over other entries if you want and track the fun.

With every writing challenge, we will be issuing a new writing prompt. The first writing challenge is:

  • What was a tragic moment in your character’s past and how did it form them as a person? Bonus questions to help you out: What happened and when? Why?

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask Bailey or I and we will help you out! Remember to track ttewc and have your entries completed by Monday, February 24th!

Hello everyone, it’s the mods here at To the End with some serious news to share. For the past while now, we have noticed that interest has seriously dropped with the group and for mostly unexplained reasons. This has been happening to a point that we have grown concerned towards the well-being of this group and whether or not we should consider closing To the End permanently.

For weeks, we have been issuing challenges, promoting characters, and encouraging plots between players as much as possible. While we are not casting blame on anyone, and there are moments when we feel it is unnecessary to worry, we are growing only all the more concerned. Bailey and I love this group more than we can say and seeing this happen is heartbreaking.

Trust when we say the decision to make this post has been a difficult one, but as of right now, the group remains open. Please keep in mind, though, that if interest and activity does not pick up soon, our decision must change. We only wanted to make sure you are aware of what we are deciding for the future. If you have any questions, message us on the main, we will be around.

After the success of our last writing challenge Jamie and I have decided to make these little deals have a more permanent spot at To the End. Now before I get to the part you all really care about here’s how these now will go! We will switch off every week between some sort of Character-Development challenge and the next make it more writing based. This gives everyone a chance to not only deepen their characters histories, but also to deepen their understanding of their character.

This week we challenge you to create a playlist of 10-15 tracks that you think describes /represents your character. Make a post with the titles and bands that have these songs so we can see and look up what awesomeness you’ve selected. Now this isn’t 8tracks, though you can totally use that for a reference if you’d like! But just a simple playlist, with a graphic if you so please.

As always our rules for these challenges are:

  • Every challenge will last one week. You have from the day we make the post about challenges to seven days later.
  • Those who have multiple characters will have to complete the challenge for each character.
  • Tag every entry you make with ttewc and track this tag as well. This way you can look over other entries if you want and track the fun.
And of course have fun! If you have any questions don’t be shy to ask Jamie or I and we’ll be sure to explain it further.
