mods vs rockers

The Mods and Rockers were two conflicting British youth subcultures of the early-mid 1960s. Gangs of mods and rockers fighting in 1964 sparked a moral panic about British youths, and the two groups were seen as folk devils. The rockers were motorcyclists, wearing clothes such as black leather jackets. The mods were scooter riders, wearing suits and cleancut outfits. By late 1960s, the two subcultures had faded from public view and media attention turned to two new emerging youth subcultures — the hippies and the skinheads.

Heyyy what do you mean by mods, rockers and akira? What are those?

Hey there~ it’s the themes used for styling svt and the sets in the mvs! Their set designer uploaded the photos of the sets with the caption:

which says “mozu vs rockers vs akira”, she edited her caption a while back though for some reason :O

“Mozu” could be referring to the Japanese police television drama series, or i think it could more likely be the British subculture of “Mods vs Rockers” from the 60′s to 70′s. These subcultures centred around motorcycles. Rockers mainly wore leather jacket (jeonghan’s gang) and boots, as well as spotting pompadours (as seen on jihoon). The mods mainly used scooters (which were also seen in the MV in cheol’s gang).

“Akira” refers to a Japanese animated post-apocalyptic sci-fi film which features the   leader of a local biker gang as well a telekinetic friend~ which could be the scene where vernon freezes time to pick up the phone:

I hope this helps :D
