Where Can I Buy?

Buying an iPhone 5c? Then you should start getting ready now as pre-orders for the colorful handset start at 12:01 AM on Friday, September 13th. Below is a list of retailers and carriers that are accepting pre-orders.

Apple will kick off pre-orders at 1 minute past midnight and will allow you to buy the phone for your carrier of choice as long as you are on Sprint, AT&T and Verizon Wireless. The process is smooth, but it takes a bit longer as you have to go through an eligibility check. Apple’s servers also tend to get swamped as that it is where most people go.

Verizon launched a landing page for the iPhone 5c with a registration form that’ll let you sign up to be notified when the phone launches. You may not want to register at this point, just check this page at midnight.

According to Sprint’s web site, the carrier will open pre-orders for the iPhone 5c online on September 13 at 2 a.m. CST. You can visit the 5c landing page for pre-ordering details.

T-Mobile has been the most vocal about the iPhone 5c, announcing in a press releasethat it will carry both phones. Like the other carriers, the iPhone 5c is front and center on the carrier’s home page. There’s also a dedicated landing page for the phone, which is where you will want to go when pre-orders begin tonight. You’ll have to visit T-Mobile as Apple is not accepting pre-orders for this carrier.

AT&T confirmed it will carry the iPhone 5C and the phone has a small banner on the carrier’s home page. Pre-orders start on September 13, but there is no iPhone 5c specific information available when this post was written. The landing page for the iPhone still has the older models.

Best Buy

Best Buy has confirmed that it will carry the iPhone 5c as a launch partner. The 5c landing page is live and that is where you should check at midnight on September 13.

Walmart announced today that it will offer the iPhone 5c for $20 less than everyone else, including Apple. The retailer will sell the 5c for $79 with a two-year contract. Pre-orders start on the 13th, but they are in-store only. You may want to use Walmart’s store finder tool to make sure your local store sells wireless phones and when it will start selling the phone.

Target will be carrying the iPhone 5c, but the retailer doesn’t appear to be accepting pre-orders. You can check out the iPhone 5c on Target’s website.

If you don’t want to stay up late tonight to order a phone, you can always gamble that it will still be in stock and available for pre-order in the morning. Customers that don’t want to bother with a pre-order can always stroll into a store on September 20th and pick one up on launch day. It might be busy trip as the iPhone 5s also goes on sale that day.

I still remember the day I first saw an iPhone. I had just signed up for T-Mobile. I had bought the T-Mobile Wing. A friend had came over to show me his new iPhone. I was amazed. I fell in love with the camera. The screen size. The ease of use. After seeing the iPhone I hated my phone. It felt ugly, outdated and useless. I wanted an iPhone and nothing else.

At the time I had never really looked too much into Apple. I remember using colored iMacs in school, I loved them. I remember it being fun typing documents and using the internet. I remember wanting to go to school just to use them. At the time I wasn’t into technology. I didn’t care what happened in the technology world. I would have never thought a computer company would change all that.

My first Apple product was a 60GB Wheel Click iPod, Sold to me by a friend. I instantly fell in love with it. The idea that you can have all your music in your pocket astonished me. Way before iPod I remember wanting a device that can hold all my music. A software for all my music and a way to get a hold of music. At the time I thought RealPlayer was the answer. I thought MP3s were the answer for my device. I was wrong. I remember the market being flooded with MP3s. I remember researching and going though reviews. Each one of them had a flaw. No one made a complete perfect Music Player. Apple changed that.

I also remember a time not too long ago wanting a device that was always connected. A device having all my music, photos, and videos. At the time I thought a netbook with a USB internet connection and DVD Player along with a DVD Booklet was the answer. I tried it. It didn’t work. At the time it was rumored Apple was going to release a tablet that can do all that and more. April 3, 2010 Apple announced iPad. I don’t think I have to tell you what happened next.

After I bought my first iPhone, At the time being a iPhone 3G. I knew I would invest everything in Apple. I knew I would replace everything I had with Apple. I knew if I love what Apple did for me in a phone I was going to love what they did for me in a computer. I have invested thousands of dollars in Apple Products and Media. I don’t regret it one bit.

Everyday I appreciate Apple. I appreciate Apple making it easy for me to follow my passions. I appreciate Apple making it easy for me to find all my favorite Music, Television Shows and Movies. Apple keeps everything I love synced, organized, backed up and safe.

I love the creative software Apple has created. So clean and so easy to use. If you want someone to do something, It has to be easy. When something is easy people want to do it more. People feel good when they know how to use it, Giving them more confidence. Apple has done that for me and I’m sure I’m not the only one.

Apple has made me more passionate about my hobbies. Apple made it easy to create. I have become a better artist because of Apple. A better photographer because of Apple. If it wasn’t for Apple I don’t think I would of been the creative person I am today. I wouldn’t follow Technology. Modernhipsters wouldn’t exist. I wouldn’t follow photography. Piximagery wouldn’t exist.

Since Apple I have followed Technology every day, every second. It has become an addiction. With Apple I have become a better artist, A better photographer, A more creative person.

Steve Jobs has taught me to think different. To never listen to anyone else and to be the best at what I love and never stop thinking ahead. Steve Jobs changed the world. He was our modern day genius. Our modern day Einstein. Our modern day Edison.

I wish I had the chance to meet him… One day i will.

Rumor: Next Apple Event to be Held on October 15

If you still haven’t had your fill of rumors now that the iPhone 5s/5c business is finally out in the open, consider this: French site MacGeneration has heard that the next Apple event will be on October 15. 9to5 Mac notes that we should all take such news with a grain of salt since MacGeneration has a spotty record when it comes to rumors, but the date fits earlier projections that we’d see the release of Mavericks sometime in late October.

The report also mentioned that existing stock for Mac products is also a little strained right now, which usually points to an upcoming release of a new product. Not only could it be a good time for the release of the new Mac Pro in addition to Mac OS X Mavericks, but we’re also looking forward to updated versions of the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with the spiffy new Haswell processors.

As 9to5 Mac rightly points out, the timing seems right, too. Last year, the new iPad, a new iMac, and the iPad mini were announced during an October event that followed September’s announcement of the iPhone 5. This year could see a mirror of the same progression. In addition to the release of Mavericks and the units mentioned above, we expect that Apple will announce a new version of the iPad and the long-awaited iPad mini with Retina display.
