Zion’s Travailing Labor Pains

“ “Why do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?” Jeremiah 30:6  We can clearly see Israel’s pains because power is changing hands!! But Israel has been a wayward wife unto YHWH…she has become as a brawling woman who has rejected the authority and wisdom of her Ish. Just as Israel refused to hear YHWH’s law (that was written twice on stone), Israel still defiant, received a prophesy from Jeremiah who was made to write the scroll twice as well. Refusing to serve YHWH, Israel was made to serve in a another cruel bondage in a land of double of bitterness (Merathiam), modern-day Babylon. The daughter of Babylon, too, will also be punished with double visitation, however before that occurs, Israel must labor and travail to bring forth her son. The  intensified oppression, discrimination and violent treatment we receive are labor pains that we must experience before we can birth our nation into being. “Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children”.   Isaiah 66:8 “

Silver Tetradrachm depicting Gotarzes II of Parthia from the Hellenistic Parthian capital of Seleucia on the Tigris in modern-day Babylon Province in Iraq. The coin dates back to 46-47 CE. Seleucia on the Tigris merged with Ctesiphon; the capital of the Persian Sasanian Empire on the other side of the river, creating the largest metropolis in the world until its fall and destruction in 637 CE.
