You know who you are.

I want to do something, anything to cheer you up.

I can’t be there in person, I’m afraid, so I’m just going to have to do my very best to make you smile.

I empathize with you. I feel your pain. Both pain I have and have not actually felt for myself.

We are kindred spirits, you and I, when it comes to the subjects of emotional pain and health (or a lack thereof).

I wish I could do more to make you feel better.

I wish I could take it all away and put it all on myself.

I would.

I know it’s tough. I know it is an incredibly difficult time for you. Because remember, I’m right there with you. And we will both fight this.

And y'know what?

WE ARE GOING TO MAKE IT THROUGH.

Got that?

YOU ARE GOING TO BE OKAY.

I AM GOING TO BE OKAY.

WE WILL FIGHT THIS, AND WE WILL COME OUT ON TOP.

And we’ll be stronger.

Stronger than we ever were.

Stronger than we ever thought we could be.

And we can help others who are going through rough times. We can help with our experiences, and maybe even figure out new ways to fix problems like these!

So as much as you want to say it,

as much as I want to say it,

I don’t want to hear

“I can’t do this any more.”

Even if we think we can’t, that’s just not an option. We can’t let it be one. Do not give up. Do not give in. Take my hand and I’ll do everything I can to help you through anything you have trouble facing.

Because I am your friend.

I love you.

Do not EVER, EVER, EVER forget this very important fact.

MKSK: Environmental Portraits and Candids

I have had the pleasure of working with the  good folks at MSI Design for a little while now. They recently acquired KKG and formed a Voltron firm, MKSK. Last week I shadowed their staff at the Covington and Columbus locations. Here are a few of those images.

MKSK Staff Shoot- Fall 2013

I have been working with the landscape architecture firm MKSK for several years now, photographing their staff as well as their projects around the state. The other day, I made my way down to their Covington, Kentucky studio to shoot both environmental and studio portraits of their ever-growing staff. If you live in Ohio or are interested in landscape architecture, make sure to check out their portfolio of award-winning projects.
