This outfit post comes from wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen!! I am wearing the Sunday Dress by Vivienne Westwood, a fluffy angora cardigan from the fabulous Fifi Chachnil, plastic fantastic cheapie sunglasses from Melrose Market, a 1950’s diamanté necklace and my heavenly aquamarine pendant. The shoes are my Vivienne Westwood three straps……. Again!!!! They are just soooo comfortable and they go with everything!!! ;)

Valley Of The Go Go Dancing Doll!
I blame it all on a high fever and a week of isolation in the deepest, darkest, English Countryside. Having spent a week in bed recovering from la grippe, during which I devoured every glamorously camp 1960s film I could access online, including, of course, the original 1967 version of Valley Of The Dolls, I felt compelled to bouffant my hair, zip up my favourite vintage party dress and jump on the largest table top I could find for un petit go-go dance.

Wearing: A vintage 1960’s rayon and nylon dress and a pair of vintage 1960’s ostrich skin shoes by Mr LaRose of Jacksonville.

Miss Lala Takes Thé À La Crème With Nancy

As the Spring/Summer 2014 shows and press days gather pace in the fashion capitals du monde, my enforced exile in the most isolated of English country homes’ continues. There is,of course, the odd advantage to not dashing around divinely smoky, dirty cities in pursuit of la latest mode. Like having le temps to waft about a large drawing room, dressed head to toe en crème (far too impractical a colour palette for subway, tube or taxi) ,drinking afternoon tea from vintage china cups and re reading the entire fictional works of Nancy Mitford. Oui, fashion metropolis bubble, I miss you très, très beaucoup, but as Nancy aptly said,

“ Life is sometimes sad and often dull, but there are currents in the cake and here is one of them”

Wearing; a vintage 1940s American dress, gold three strap shoes by Vivienne Westwood, cream beret by Agnes B, gold charm bangle by Annina Vogel, my grandmothers gold 1950’s charm bracelet and Cocktail Time ring by Jessica De Lotz

A Naughty Nautical Outing!

Today I headed down to Bagenkop Harbour, on the Danish Island of Langeland, in the hope of hitching a ride on un petit yacht. My hopes were dashed, as apparently, I was wearing the incorrect shoes for sailing! Ah well, at least they served a darn fine Caffe Latte in the local Ice Cream Parlour.

Wearing: Silk scarf by Clements Ribeiro.Shorts by By Marlene Birger. Long sleeved Tee by H&M.Sunglasses by Givenchy and my Vivienne Westwood for Melissa shoes (Waterproof!!!!!)

Postcards from the Baltic Sea! Aujourd’hui I’m channelling a Sixties vibe sur le plage. Floppy cotton hat from ASOS. Cotton, voluminous peep back dress from Chloe swim. Platform sandals from Marc by Marc Jacobs. Platforms are sooooo practical for sand strolling!!! ;)

Aye, aye skipper!

Hanging out in the pretty Danish town of Svendborg, scouring the harbour for for handsome sailors ;) I am wearing; a vintage fifties cactus and mexican hat print dress, the very same Vivienne Westwood for Melissa shoes that I wore in my last post ( quelle horreur!! I am repeating myself!!!) a spanking new pair of red lip novelty sunglasses and an ever fluffy Fifi Chachnil angora cardigan.

Miss Lala Goes Mad On A Mountfield!

Finding myself banished to the English countryside once more,I decided to take the new Mountfield mower for a spin. Afterall, Mad Men’s Lois seemed to have so much fun on a mini John Deere…….until she lost control and sliced off a man’s foot that is!

What should a femme glameureuse wear for gardening chores? Well I have long found that anything which can be accomplished in a Barbour jacket and Hunter wellies [Quelle horreur!], can just as easily be accomplished in five layers of tulle and vintage heels!

Wearing: Tulle and silk underskirt by Ashish, Stripe tee by Noerregaard, Vintage 1960’s moc snake shoes and vintage 1980’s black straw hat.

Scarlet Femme Takes A Roll In Le Hay!

Whilst posing for these photographs, I learned two things.
One: Haystacks are actually taller than they look from the car and therefore it is difficult to climb onto one in a dignified manner!
Two: Hay is incredibly scratchy and uncomfortable to sit on, so rolling in it is not something I ever need to cross off mon to do list!

Wearing: The Sunday Dress by Vivienne Westwood, Lip novelty sunglasses from Danish chain ‘Tiger’ and lipstick No.38 in Rouge Allure Velvet by Chanel.

Today’s outfit is pin up inspired. I can never manage to pull the entire look off because I’m just no good at doing all those fabulous fifties hairstyles. Besides which, I like to add a few modern pieces to keep the look contemporary. I am wearing a yellow cardigan and red shoes by Vivienne Westwood, my good old ¾ length jeans by Moto for Topshop, vintage fifties sunglasses and belt and a frilled polka dot bustier from my lingerie label, Miss Lala Presents. The location is the old train station in the picturesque town of Svendborg in Denmark.

Hanging around the Sunset Boulevard Palm Reader. I was too afraid to go in and have my future read, but did hugely appreciate the yellow neon signs which made a perfect backdrop for my Ashish dress! Shoes by Marc Jacobs. Bag, my current favourite, the vintage Fendi.
