Calgary police issue Amber Alert for missing 5-year-old girl
Police say the girl is believed to have been abducted by an unknown person from Panamount Blvd., in northwest Calgary.

Calgary police have issued an Amber Alert for a five-year-old girl they believe has been abducted.

Taliyah Leigh Marsman is described as a mixed-race female with a slim build, brown curly hair and brown eyes.

No description of her clothing was immediately available.

Police say the girl is believed to have been abducted by an unknown person from Panamount Blvd., in northwest Calgary.

A vehicle police initially said may have been connected to the disappearance has been found, but the girl is still missing.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.

Winnipeg police looking for Native girl, 13, missing almost a month

A 13-year-old girl has been missing for almost a month and Winnipeg police are asking for the public’s help.

Cherish Beaver’s family last saw her on March 9 in the West End, an area she is known to frequent.

Winnipeg police said the family didn’t report the girl missing until March 27, even though they told police they hadn’t seen her since March 9..

Police won’t say if the teen had been reported missing any other time.

Cherish Beaver is 5'4,“ about 100 pounds. She’s thin with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police say they are concerned for her wellbeing.

Police search for missing York student Amina Lawal

Police are searching for a York University student who went missing nearly a week ago.

Amina Lawal, 19, was last seen on Friday, March 20, 2015, in the Kingston Road and Beechgrove Drive area, according to police, who released a statement saying they are “concerned for her safety.”

Lawal is described as black, 5’2”, and approximately 100 pounds with a thin build and long, braided hair.

The hashtags #FindAmina and #HelpFindAmina have been used by many people who are trying to help locate Lawal.

Police are asking that anyone with information call them at 416-808-4300 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers by calling 416-222-TIPS (8477), online at www.222tips.com, or on Facebook.

Ottawa police seek [inuit] missing girl, 15 (found safe)

Ottawa police are asking for the public’s help finding 15-year-old Oleesia Akesuk, who was last seen July 8 near Chemin Laurier and Des Allumettieres Boulevard in Gatineau.

​She’s an Inuk female, 5 feet, 4 inches tall, 117 pounds, with a medium build, brown eyes and long, straight black hair. She wears glasses and has burn scars on her arms and shoulders. In a news release, police said they don’t have a description of her clothing, but said Akesuk would be carrying a black and white cloth purse.

Police said her family “is concerned for her well-being.” Anyone with information is asked to call the Missing Persons Unit at 613-236-1222 x 2355.

Akesuk is originally from Cape Dorset, Nunavut.

Oleesia Akesuk has been found safe

A 15-year-old Ottawa girl who went missing Wednesday morning has been found safe.

Oleesia Akesuk was last seen in the Gatineau area of Rue Laurier and Boulevard des Allumettières, according to police. Police said she was located late Saturday afternoon.


The mother posted this yesterday on Facebook:

“This is my daughter. She has been missing for over 24hrs. Her name is Angelica, she goes by Angie. She is 15. PLEASE keep this post at the top of the news feed by sharing it. We JUST want her home safe. If you see her notify me or my husband William Copeland or Fresno PD. my cell phone number is 559-285-1729 "
