Tuesday 9/12

If every day were like yesterday, I would be so darn pleased. It was just a good day. I didn’t really struggle so much with staying on track food or water-wise, and my workout in the morning went really well. 4.5 miles (and 10,000 steps!) before 9am. Which means I really need to walk more during the rest of my workday. 😂 Being at work 9-6:30 doesn’t encourage a lot of movement when you have a desk job, but I could definitely take more breaks. I’m gonna try and be more mindful of this.

Essentially everything I ate yesterday was homemade – banana bread, pasta, chicken soup. I had some fruit, and carrots and hummus as a snack as well. I really need to do a big Sunday meal prep more often. Like, every week.

A bit of a scale victory here as well.. I weighed in Wednesday, and then this morning (Thursday) again, and I’m a full pound lighter in just a day. Hello, water weight! Or should I say.. goodbye! 😁

Tuesday 9/5/17

A very Monday-ish Tuesday. My first day back in the swing of things. I tracked food, got plenty of water, and overall I’m pretty happy with it.

I’ve officially weighed myself for the first time in a while, and I’ve thought about bringing my weekly friday weigh-ins. I think I will do it and post the results here for more accountability.

Fredrick: *sighs* I suppose so…I’m sorry for worrying as much as I am. You’re 18 now and I should trust you and I do. I think I’m just…gonna miss you.

Meghan: *smiles at him* It’s alright dad, I understand. I’m going to miss you too and a little worried you’ll go crazy when I leave.

Fredrick: *laughs* Honey, I think that train left a long time ago.

It’s a bit weird to be eating the tuna and the chicken. I certainly don’t want to chuck it, but I’m also not in much the mood to eat it (OK, the salad was pretty good). I think I’m going to try and pawn the tuna and salmon off on my fiance and participate in only the poultry. I’ve never had a huge appetite for fish and I have even less. Did anyone else experience the same thing? I don’t really dislike the flavor meat but I’m just not appetized by it after a month of not eating it.

  1. New school supplies. I know I can’t go to school forever, but can I just keep getting new pens and notebooks forever?
  2. Rewatching an old favorite after some new shows. Hence, Scrubs. I don’t know, but I’m enjoying this show even more ever since starting my labtech program. This is probably my third time watching it. I also watch Futurama and Bob’s Burgers A LOT.
  3. The smell of rain. Not only do I love the rain, but the smell itself is really part of the experience. Especially with some freshly cut grass, YES!
  4. Singing in the shower. The reverb is primo.
  5. Sunflowers. Are they not the floral equivalent of the sunshine and smiling faces? Try looking at a sunflower and feeling pissed at the same time.
