Danny was lying upside-down, his back against the floor and his feet up on the bed, watching something on TV. His chemistry textbook was lying open beside him.

“Shouldn’t you be studying?”

She saw the way his shoulders tensed, but he tried to pull it off as a shrug, which didn’t work very well with his back against the floor.

“Look, it doesn’t matter anyways. It’s not like anything I’m learning is going to help me fight ghosts.”

She sighed and sat down beside him, picking up his textbook and flipping through the chapter he’d been working on. It was kind of hard to concentrate with the TV going on about event horizons, but– Wait, what?

She looked up. It wasn’t a TV show, after all. It was a documentary. On blackholes. She tried to be subtle about glancing around the room. She knew Danny wanted to be an astronaut, of course, and she knew he had models and posters of planets, but… She’d always kind of assumed he was more interested in the Star Trek exploration idea, than, well, the actual science of it…

“Danny, what’s the sun made out of?”

Suddenly she realised that what she was regretting was not the lost past but the lost future , not what had not been but what would never be

So I figured I’d just toss in my two cents and hope and pray some angry kid doesn’t yell at me about this. There’s gonna be a lot of spoilers btw and this is gonna be long and rambly and I’m sorry

This week has been terrible for anything resembling my sense of people caring about the stuff I do, but, here’s a though:

while I don’t post stuff here everyday, and I’m not that active on twitter now, since the app is not working on my phone I don’t know why, I do post daily WIPs and pics of my stuff on instagram! Also on facebook story!  I’m @4c2882 on instagram and you can ask for my FB if you want to be friends there.
