random list of my favourite characters — nathan young (misfits)

“We’re young. We’re supposed to drink too much. We’re supposed to have bad attitudes and shag each other’s brains out. We are designed to party. This is it. Yeah, so a few of us will overdose or go mental. But Charles Darwin said you can’t make an omelette without breaking a few eggs. And that’s what it’s all about breaking eggs! And by eggs, I do mean, getting twatted on a cocktail of Class As. If you could just see yourselves! It breaks my heart. You’re wearing cardigans! We had it all. We fucked up bigger and better than any generation that came before us. We were so beautiful! We’re screw-ups. I’m a screw-up and I plan to be a screw-up until my late 20′s, maybe even my early 30′s. And I will shag my own mother before I let her… or anyone else take that away from me!”

I have discovered a gross injustice in our fanfiction community - this fandom is sleepin’ on erase & rewind by @sopaloma

Ever heard of the British tv series Misfits? I hadn’t. But I read the description and took a chance, and let me tell you I have not been the same since. It’s a superpower au. Already off to an amazing start, right?

But this story is different: It’s not just your average, run-of-the-mill save the cheerleader save the world kind of fic. This story has so many twists to it I don’t even know where to begin (no spoilers though, I promise).

Perhaps, if you have seen the show, there are less twists for you. I honestly don’t know. But I’m pretty certain that @sopaloma has outdone herself in taking the basis of the show and expertly transforming it into a Riverdale story all her own.

I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, I’ve felt for all of the characters in the most heart-wrenching and heart-fulfilling ways. I know my word doesn’t necessarily mean much, but I am declaring this fic a must read.

As of right now, three of the four chapters have been posted, and this fic still has under a thousand hits. It’s an absolute injustice! It’s negligence! It’s blasphemy!!!

Give this story a chance. I promise you will fall in love with it within the first thousand words.
