MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — When Philando Castile was shot by a Minnesota police officer, his girlfriend broadcast his final moments live on Facebook. But experts say the footage from a squad car camera was probably a bigger factor in prosecutors’ decision to charge the officer with manslaughter.
While leaders across the country refuse to accept Syrian refugees, insisting they pose an unacceptable security risk, homegrown domestic extremists have been doing a pretty good job of terrorizing their fellow Americans with guns, explosives and threats of large-scale attacks. In addition to these, we can’t leave off the shooting in Minneapolis.
Two Muslim men were wounded in a shooting on their way to attend overnight prayers at a mosque in Minneapolis Wednesday morning. The Muslim men were in a car stopped at a corner, when two white men came up to them, shouted anti-Muslim epithets and opened fire. Minneapolis police announced Thursday that they will be investigating the incident as a possible hate crime. WTF is going in Minnesota?!
All these issues are paramount! If our government wants peace, if they want to “pacify” Jamar’s defenders, they must show us the video! There can be no peace as long as they don’t respect our position and our feelings! We are full members of society and have the right to know the truth (though I’m sure that it will cause a new wave of protests)!
Their reluctance to shed light on the situation says that cops have something to hide! Probably, they will release the video only a year later, as they did after Laquan McDonald’s death.
I’m sure we’ll see another example of abuse of power by cops!
The New York Times reports four suspects are in custody for the Nov. 23 shooting that injured five people: “Allen Lawrence Scarsella, 23; Nathan Gustavsson, 21; Daniel Macey, 26; and Joseph Backman, 27.” All four are white men and, according to the Times, they appear to have used the online message board 4chan to meet up. Video appears to show two of the men engaging in extremely suspicious behavior.
MULTIPLE PROTESTERS SHOT at the #4thPrecinctShutDown in Minneapolis. Police failed to respond, and blocked ambulances that the protesters had to call for themselves. Shooters were all white men in ski masks.
