Ok ok so I feel like its more commonly assumed that Phichit was probably pining for Yuuri for a while first before he had to be blatantly obvious that he had a big ole crush on Yuuri, but what if it was the other way around? Imagine if Phichit was the first person Yuuri found that he was really attracted to, and when he realized that, it hit him like a ton of bricks.

He would try to play it cool and act normal, but start freaking out more than usual. Phichit is a naturally touchy person, even in the most platonic ways, but now every time he’s touched Yuuri jumps like he’s received an electric shock. When they’d have movie nights, they used to share a blanket and when Phichit offers, Yuuri scoots his ass as far away as he can on the couch.

And Phichit’s like “What the hell man you’ve been acting weird all week…Yuuri did I do something wrong?”

“Nonono it’s not you I promise.”

“Well then what is it? And don’t say nothing because I can tell when something is bugging you.”

Yuuri clutches his elbows and doesn’t meet Phichit’s eyes.

“Yuuri, don’t make me make you tell me,” he says with a devilish smirk. Phichit crawls towards Yuuri and pounces on him, tickling his sides. They crash to the ground with Yuuri laughing and gasping for air.

They end up with Phichit sitting on top of Yuuri and pinning him to the floor. He bends down to whisper in Yuuri’s ear. “I’ll stop when you tell mee~.” Before he can lean back, Yuuri turns his head and captures Phichit’s lips in a quick kiss.

Yuuri slaps a hand over his mouth as his face reddens. “I-I’m so sorry I didn’t mean-” He covers his entire face with both arms.

He feels Phichit’s fingers gently trying to peel his arms apart. “Yuuri,” he says softly, “Yuuri please come out..” He mumbles out a no, that he’s staying like this for forever, before feeling the soft press of lips to the skin of his forearm.

He peeks through the crack of his arms to find the worried gaze of Phichit above him, a little crease forming between his eyebrows. “Is this why you were acting odd? You… like me?” Yuuri manages a little nod.

“Well, that kiss was a little sloppy. If you come out of there, we can try again, if you want.”

Yuuri slowly lets his arms fall to the side and pushes himself up on his elbows so his nose is a few inches from Phichit’s. “You… aren’t mad?”

Phichit lets out a breathy chuckle. “Oh Yuuri, why would I be mad? Especially when you look so cute like this?”

Yuuri felt his cheeks flush again, and leaned forward to kiss Phichit once more.

how do u think ur family and shawns relationship be if u dated him for a realllllyyyyy long time??? (like 4-6 years)

I think Shawn would have an amazing and really close relationship with your family. Shawn’s is such a massive dork and so likeable, so honestly, we would have won them over the first day. But seriously, because of how important family is to Shawn, he would - in the beginning of the relationship - have done such an effort to connect with your family.

I think he’d be buddies with your older brother and your dad. Like he’d come over to watch football or hockey games when you weren’t home, because they actually loved watching sports together. He would bring the chips and your dad would find something to drink. Or you would be home and keep asking Shawn, whenever he was going to come to your room and Shawn would be like “Just a sec, love. The game is almost over” and you’d know very well, you wouldn’t see him for at least another hour, but you’d be able to hear all three of them yell at the tv, saying rather rude stuff to the referee.

I think Shawn’s charm would have won over your mother rather quickly. When he came to your house, he’d always spend a good fifteen minutes catching up with her, because he knows your mother is very talkative. You’d be able to hear them laugh in the entire house. Shawn would ask her how much of a hard time you were giving her (as a joke), about how her mother was doing after getting sick and if she liked the musical she’d told the both of you, she was going to see. And your mother would ask Shawn about tour, his sister’s hockey games and if he still hadn’t gotten tired of you yet. Your mother would love Shawn, because he always asked if he could help with something. Whether it was preparing the food, taking out the trash or help cleaning up after dinner. He would always ask, your mother would mainly say no, because she knew the two of you got so little time together, but he would always ask. Always.

He’d be the biggest dork around your smaller siblings and your entire family would adore him for that. At every family birthday or dinner or whatever, you’d always find Shawn lying around on the floor, playing with cars or dolls or something like that with your younger siblings or cousins. Or he’d be out in the garden, pretending to be bad at sports, playing football with them and letting them win. Gripping around their hips and pulling them off the ground, letting all of you hear a massive childish laughter coming from - your younger sibling of course - but surely also from Shawn. Shawn would force you to come join and you’d suck, but he would think it was cute as hell. So you, Shawn and your younger siblings/cousins would be running around in the yard, laughing so much your stomach hurts and your entire family would just be standing in the window, looking at you guys and that’s when your family would think “she really found someone special” knowing that Shawn made your family, his family as well.

Shawn and you would take your grandparents out for dinner or lunch once in a while and just enjoy each other’s company. Shawn would love hearing your grandfather tell funny stories, from when he was young and your grandmother would love watching how Shawn pushed in the chair for you, or poured up water for you, how his thumb was stroking your back or how he was always looking at you, like he was looking at his entire world. Your grandmother would always tell you “this is it honey, you found him” and you’d look at her smiling “I know, trust me, I know”

Actually, that would be the thing your family loved the most about your relationship with Shawn. Seeing how Shawn was around you. Always caressing your hand or cheek or back. Always giving you little signs of affection, without him even being aware of it.

They’d love seeing how you just lit up around him and how you always had a smile painted on your lips because of him. They would love watching Shawn support you in anything you wanted, always be telling you to go for your dreams and neve be afraid to fall, because if you did, he had you. He’d always have you.

Your aunt’s heart would melt every time Shawn told you he loved you and she’d watch your cheeks flush massively, before biting your lip.

They loved seeing how truly happy he made you and none of them would ever doubt that the two of you, were going to start your own family at some point.

Ever post anything about Miniature Schnauzers? I've been having constant nightmares about mine recently. (Came for the veterinary info, stayed for the breed (mythological creatures too!) info.)

.Oh my anonymous friend, let me tell you about miniature Schnauzers. I have much to say about these little dogs.

Before I go too far, these posts are about the breed from a veterinary viewpoint as seen in clinical practice, i.e. the problems we are faced with. It’s not the be-all and end-all of the breed and is not to make a judgement about whether the breed is right for you. If you are asking for an opinion about these animals in a veterinary setting, that is what you will get. It’s not going to be all sunshine and cupcakes, and is not intended as a personal insult against your favorite breed. This is general advice for what is common, often with a scientific consensus but sometimes based on personal experiences, and is not a guarantee of what your dog is going to encounter in their life.

Although having said that disclaimer, there is one condition in particular that it would not surprise me at all if every miniature schnauzer ends up having at least once in their life…

Ah, pancreatitis. Mini schnauzer with abdominal pain? Pancreatitis. Vomiting? Pancreatitis. Diarrhoea? Pancreatitis. Not wagging its tail properly? Pancreatitis. There is no other breed of dog I’ve encountered that seems to be so exquisitely sensitive to this condition.

Honestly, on one occasion I saw a mini schnauzer for an ear infection, but because I did a full clinical exam identified abdominal pain and subsequently confirmed pancreatitis on a blood test.

Pancreatitis occurs when the pancreas becomes inflamed, often leaking its own digestive enzymes into itself. Symptoms vary in severity. A very mild case may result in a dog just being off their food for a day, and the owner almost calling the vet clinic, but then not bothering when the dog eats and looks normal the next morning. Or they can be so sick they present recumbent with a massive fever, can’t keep even water down, and have so much damage to their pancreas that they become diabetic.

In my experience mini schnauzers spend a lot of the time with the mild to moderate forms of pancreatitis, maybe enough to recover with a single shot each of pain relief and anti-nausea medication, or a 3-5 day stay in hospital. However if these episodes are ignored, or if a momentary lapse allows the dog access to high fat foods, they often have severe or catastrophic pancreatitis episodes. Also, the more episodes of pancreatitis they have, the more likely they are to have another, more severe episode in the future.

I don’t know if this is what you’ve been having nightmares about. Pancreatitis is more common in older dogs, which you can’t do anything about, but it’s also often triggered by diet. Many of our mini schnauzer patients end up on low fat diets for this reason, several of them on prescription ultra-low fat diets. At least this is a factor that you can control.

Related to the strict dietary control that this breed often needs, Dental Disease can be a significant problem. Bone marrow is hugely fatty, and some of these dogs will end up hospitalized if they get to chew on a bone, or chicken neck. I cannot emphasize enough how sensitive some of these dogs are to dietary fat. Consequently many of them can’t tolerate the usual things we encourage dogs to chew for dental health, and these dogs often end up needing dental treatments and extractions.

Also related to pancreatitis, Diabetes Mellitus is more common in this breed, but considering that it can develop secondary to pancreatitis that shouldn’t be a surprise.

The breed is reputed to be prone to a number of eye diseases, but the only one I’ve come across with relative frequency has been cataracts. These can also form secondary to diabetes.

Another possible factor that might contribute to pancreatitis in these dogs (and the hyperlipidaemia thought to cause it) is hypothyroidism. This endocrine condition slows their metabolism and produces changes in the hair coat, but also results in higher blood cholesterol and lipid levels.

A number of these dogs have historically ended up on cortisone for Allergies or Atopy. These vary in how problematic they are for the dog, but they are certainly frustrating to treat.

Ear infections are also fairly common, and while they may be worsened with allergies or atopy, it is the densely packed fur growing from the canal that traps moisture and predisposes these dogs to problems. The hairy canals are not fixed by cropping, claiming they are is a weak excuse for an outdated and unnecessary surgical modification.

Mini Schnauzers are at increased risk for developing Calcium Oxalate bladder stones, which is not the most common stone seen in dogs so diets claiming to prevent urinary crystals or stones are not always appropriate for this breed. Some are, but it’s important to check.

And lastly I see a fair number of these dogs with Back Pain, which sometimes is associated with a bulging intervertebral disc. So quite a lot to say about the miniature schnauzer, but most of it is related to consuming fat in amounts that would be normal for other dogs.

Imagine this fresh (fiery) start

The scene is too familiar for the Evil Queen. This world Henry has sent her to feels like a day she lived a long time ago.

Dejavu? Or is it… her second chance; her fresh start.

“Have you considered a pet?” Maleficent playfully singsongs.

Only, this time the Evil Queen does give up on her revenge and desire to take back what she had come for: the dark curse. Instead there is a much better choice with a happier outcome.

“No…” Regina says slowly, her voice devoid of the hostility it had before, “but I’ve considered you.” Her tone is much softer and juvenile, reminding Maleficent of the young maiden she found lurking in her castle many years ago.

“Oh?” Maleficent’s surprised but can only do so much to hide her hope behind a curious look. “Have you?”

“Every night after the first.”

“Funny,” Maleficent smiles at her.

“What?” Regina’s confused, face flushed at her confession.

“I’ve always considered you too,” Maleficent reaches Regina’s hand,  “my love.”
