mines of crafting

You know, all snark aside, just enjoy Samurai Jack for what it is, folks. Especially you, the generation right after mine. It’s a masterfully crafted saga and it doesn’t stand for any stupid political agenda. Enjoy it for what it is and just be grateful it exists. That’s all. Peace.

A Midnight Ritual if You Cannot Sleep Because You Are Worrying About a Confrontation or Crisis in the Morning

You will need:

  • A dark-blue candle
  • A small bowl of salt
  • Paper and a pen
  • A bowl of soil
  • A small, lidded plastic container
  • A blue pen

Timing:

Midnight, called the time of the dark sun, indoors or in the garden.

The spell:

Light the candle and, looking into the flame, say: “The dark sun across the word does shine, but let all be peaceful in this place of mine.”

Sprinkle a few grains of salty into the flame, saying: “The sun will rise again at dawn, ‘til then I consign all fear ‘till morn.”

On the paper, write over and over again the fears and the worries that are troubling you. Tear off just a corner and singe it in the candle flame. (Have a bowl of soil ready in case it catches fire.)

Extinguish the candle, and put the folded paper and the singed corner, burned or not, into a small plastic container in the freezer.

Dispose of the plastic container and its contents the next morning.

I made a planchette! Thanks to the person who suggested that I put the ouija board under glass! I found a glass frame almost exactly the right size for it and the planchette moves across it really smoothly.

I added a lace border that I think I might replace with something nicer. I ripped that one off a tin of sweets and it only just covers the edges and got a little torn 😞

I’m going to start making another one! This time in spring colours 🌷 pastel greens and pinks and yellows. Instead of the bat it will be a butterfly and instead of the graveyard and skeleton it will be a rose garden on a hill and posies with a picket fence 🌼

I’m having a lot of fun drawing it up and I’ll show it to you guys once I’m finished!  💕

🌸🌼🌸SPRING THEMED OUIJA BOARD🌸🌼🌸

Well, spring is practically over and I only just finished this ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Who says seances have to a nighttime affair? This is for laying on your stomach in your back-garden, in the sunshine with two glasses of lemonade (one for you and one for the ghost).

I used the same base pattern as last time, but all of the spring-themed changes and the planchette are my own 💖

Witch Tip: making your sigil look better

Construct your sigils inside a shape. Make this outer shape a different color or thickness to differentiate the sigil from the outline.
Develop a Key for deciding which shape to use. For example: a circle = neutral/all-purpose, triangle = protection or ward, square = enhance ability (for motivation or creativity), rectangle = spell-work (for sealing a bottle or charging a spell), star = curse, heart = love, clover = luck
Adapt your sigil shapes to whatever you want!
