8 songs that remind me of Mag7 characters

Barroom Hero by the Dropkick Murphys (Faraday)

He’s a legend in the bar with every scar fights a thousand bigger men,

But now he fights and loses got all the bruises will someone please step in?

Cause this Irish fool’s got a great big heart, he keeps climbing back into the ring

In the low down circles where he holds his court- this man, he once was king.

Southern Nights by Allen Toussaint (Goodnight Robicheaux)

Southern skies

Have you ever noticed southern skies?

Its precious beauty lies just beyond the eye.

It goes running through your soul

Like the stories told of old

Way Down We Go by Kaleo (Vasquez)

‘Cause they will run you down, down til the dark

Yes and they will run you down, down til you fall

And they will run you down, down til you go

Yeah so you can’t crawl no more

The Fire by The Roots (Sam Chisolm)

One love, one game, one desire

One flame, one bonfire, let it burn higher

I never show signs of fatigue or turn tired

'Cause I’m the definition of tragedy turned triumph

Knocked Around by Jordan Max (Billy Rocks)

Live my life to share my tales

Take no shit from no one else

I protect myself

I know the battles made me stronger

Wild Mountain Thyme by Ed Sheeran (Jack Horne)

Oh the summertime is coming

And the trees are sweetly blooming

And the wild mountain thyme

Grows around the blooming heather

Will ye go, Lassie go?

Fire by Barns Courtney (Red Harvest)

Lonely shadows following me

Lonely ghosts come a-calling

Lonely voices talking to me

Now I’m gone, now I’m gone, now I’m gone

Here’s a Health To the Company by The Chieftains (The Seven)

Kind friends and companions, come join me in rhyme

Come lift up your voices in chorus with mine

Come lift up your voices, all grief to refrain

For we may or might never all meet here again

Listen

This is probably my fav song from Assassins Creed Black Flag.
And to be honest, one of my faves in general.

I like the way it sounds and have you ever really listened to the lyrics?

Kind friends and companions
come join me in rhyme
come lift up your voices
in chorus with mine
come lift up your voices,
all grief to refrain
for we may or might never
all meet here again

chorus:
so here’s a health to the company
and one to my lass
let us drink and be merry
all out of one glass
let us drink and be merry
all grief to refrain
for we may or might never
all meet here again

here’s a health to the dear lass
that I love so well
for her style and for her beauty
sure none can excel
there’s a smile on her countenance
as she sits upon my knee
there is no man in this wide
world as happy as me

chorus:
so here’s a health
to the company
and one to my lass
let us drink and be merry
all out of one glass
let us drink and be merry
all grief to refrain
for we may or might never
all meet here again

our ship lies at anchor
she’s ready to dock
I wish her safe landing
without any shock
and if I ever I should
meet you by land or by sea
I will always remember
your kindness to me

chorus:
so here’s a health to the company
and one to my lass
let us drink and be merry
all out of one glass
let us drink and be merry
all grief to refrain
for we may or might
never all meet here again

JUST FOR THIS MOMENT

AS LONG AS YOU’RE MINE
COME BE HOW YOU WANT TO
AND SEE HOW BRIGHT WE SHINE
BORROW THE MOONLIGHT
UNTIL IT IS THROUGH
AND KNOW I’LL BE HERE HOLDING YOU
AS LONG AS YOU’RE MINE…

What is it?

It’s just– for the first time, I feel wicked.

Wicked the Musical- As Long You’re Mine

Karaoke

A blurb for @itsa-meemarieee , who wrote me a blurb in a desperate time of need! So in return, I’m writing this based on this song.

“Y/N! You’ve got to do Karaoke. It’s so much fun, and I bet your fans will love it!.”  Zoe had said to you after you said you’d probably skip your karaoke slot today.

Youtube had set it up as a fun little thing in between meet-and-greets and panels. They set a couple youtubers up at a time generally ones that often did collabs or were known to be good friends off camera. For you that usually meant Zoe, because even though you lived far away from each other, you still managed to collab and were known as best friends. It also meant Joey, as you two had became very good friends in the last few years. You were friends with Dan and Phil too, but surely they’d be paired together, forced to do something lovey-dovey.

“I don’t know…who would I be with? All my friends have already gone! I can’t just get up there and look stupid if I’m not with you or Joey.” You protested at her.

“You’ll be fine! Also, you’re next, so buck up!” she pushed you forward to the stairs, which you walked up and was introduced by a stage man.

“Ladies and gentlemen, (your youtube channel) and…

Dan came running on stage, waving to the crowd and taking his microphone.

danisnotonfire! Singing As Long As Your Mine from Wicked!”

Cheering became extremely loud and didn’t die down until the music started. Dan and you just stared at each other, in disbelief that you were preforming such a romantic song together. Your fans shipped you together, and that had been picking up media in recent times before Vidcon. The ship wasn’t without good reason of course, at least on your end. You’d had a crush on Dan for a while and even if he didn’t notice, your viewers did.

“Ready?” Dan smirked at you.

“Uh yeah,” you laughed nervously

Kiss me too fiercely…

Hold me too tight…

I need help believing your with me tonight…

My wildest dreams could not forsee

Lying beside you with you wanting me”

You tried to sing staring more at the screen behind him, and less at Dan. But who were you kidding? You knew the song by heart and it gave you more of an excuse to look at him, take in his features.

And just for this moment

As long as you’re mine

I’ve lost all resistance and crossed the border line

And if it turns out it’s over too fast

I’ll make every last moment last

As long as you’re mine

Dan smiled genuinely at you as he began singing.

“Maybe I’m brainless

Maybe I’m wise

But you’ve got me seeing

Through different eyes

Somehow I’ve fallen

Under your spell

And somehow I’m feeling

It’s up that I fell”

It seemed like Dan did the opposite of you, and tried his best to not look at the screen and actively look at you.

Together you began to sing
“Every moment

As long as you’re mine

I’ll wake up my body

And make up for lost time”

“Say there’s no future

For us as a pair”

Dan grabbed your hand and looked at the ground at this part, pretending to be sad.

“And though I may know
I don’t care
Just for this moment
As long as you’re mine
Come be how you want to
And see how bright we shine
Borrow the moonlight
Until it is through
And know I’ll be here
Holding you
As long as you’re mine”

Dan spun you under his arm so that he was half-holding you from behind. As the music died down and you stared into each others’ eyes, you must’ve forgotten there was a few hundred people watching because you both leaned in and met half way kissing passionately. It was only the loud cheering that brought you back to reality.

You both looked at the crowd and each other with an insane blush on your faces, silently agreeing, in that moment, you were each others’.

Since I’m moving away, I won’t be able to continue playing D&D with this wonderful group of people who started me on it, at least not as regularly as I was. It was a short but meaningful campaign, so I drew up a group shot of everyone who has participated in our band of warriors so far, including our DM as the all-powerful sun.

This one Irish traditional song called “Here’s a Health to The Company” has been in my thoughts lately because I have to leave behind people I’ve become really close to.

“Fine friends and companions
come join me in rhyme
come lift up your voices
in chorus with mine
come lift up your voices,
all grief to refrain
for we may or might never
all meet here again…

And if ever I should meet you
by land or by sea,
I will always remember
your kindness to me…”
