Candy Hearts || Bucky x Reader

Summary → A year of silently pinning over your best friend and neighbor Bucky Barnes ends happier than expected when you spend Valentine’s Day together.

Word Count → 2.9K (I’m a wordy bitch, okay?)

Warnings → Cursing, oral sex (female receiving), unprotected sex (don’t be silly, wrap your willy!). Fluff? Definitely fluff.

A/N → Happy #FreakyFriday y’all! I apologize for the delay, but I had an unplanned twelve hour work shift today. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I thought I’d try my hand at fluffy smut (it’s a first for me - so go easy on this fic). Other than that, enjoy!

A nervous giggle flew from your lips as you twirled on your toes to face the full-length mirror hung over the back of your bedroom door. Your usual untamed knot of hair had been brushed and curled into effortless beach waves that cascaded down your shoulders and back. You wore nothing but Bucky’s trademark, burgundy Henley, which you’d confiscated the last time you’d done laundry together. It hung loosely over your frame, hitting mid-thigh and creating an innocently sexy, ‘girl next door’ type of vibe. You undid the first few buttons of the V-neck, to show off just the right amount of cleavage. You opted for some mascara and pink chapstick, making your lips appear fuller. Thoroughly satisfied with your appearance, you exited your room and tiptoed excitedly down the hall.

Over the past eighteen months, as your friendship with Bucky had grown closer, the both of you had developed several traditions. Every Sunday you’d get together for pasta, you’d lift weights with each other three times a week, and Tuesday nights were spent on Bucky’s couch with abundant amounts of junk food while binge watching television shows. Unless there was a particularly lengthy mission for the team or some other out of the ordinary incident, neither of you ever bailed on your plans. And tonight, Valentine’s Day, was not about to be any different. You had been secretly ecstatic when Bucky double-checked you’d still be getting together for takeout and Netflix, despite the holiday.

Author’s Note: So this is my first ever fanfic, I just was listening to Ed’s album and this though popped into my head so I said to myself, “Fuck it.” I figured other Sam girls may appreciate this so if it’s alright let me know and maybe I’ll write more in the future! I understand this is changing some canon events, so I’m sorry in advance. Thanks for taking the time to read and have a wonderful day!!

moonlight-tie  asked:

Have you ever thought about the song on anthology 1 You'll be Mine. It sounds extremly mclennon related for me.

yes and I absolutely love it. It could sound like a ‘funny’ song cause John and Paul have fun faking their voices and John does that little “National Health eyeball” part, but I ADORE the melody, and just like ‘i don’t know (johnny johnny)’ it’s an early mclennon song, this time there was also Stuart playing with them.

The lyrics:

Well darling all the night
You’ll be mine and I know
You’ll be mine
Till you die
You’ll be mine

And so all the night
You’ll be mine
You’ll be mine
And the stars
Always shine
You’ll be mine
Oh

(My darling.
When you burnt that toast the other morning
I, I looked into you eyes and I could see that National Health eyeball
and I loved you, like I never done, I have never done before!)

Oh darling
In your eyes
And you’ll be mine
You will be mine
You’ll be mine
At the star and so
You’ll be mine

Billboard - Lea Michele, 'Louder': Track-By-Track Review

Billboard - Lea Michele, ‘Louder’: Track-By-Track Review
Billboard Rating: 72 (out of 100)

“It’s more than just an album to me,” “Glee” star Lea Michele recently told Billboard about her debut album “Louder.” “It’s a piece of my life that I’m so glad is here for me to have for the rest of my life. Now that it’s coming out, it’s unbelievable.”

It’s easy to see why she’s so thrilled. Up until this point, Michele’s musical success has been confined to Broadway tunes and the cover songs “Glee” belts out. But with “Louder,” she’s looking to join the ranks of Katy, Miley and Taylor – and it’s not an unreasonable leap. “Glee” fans are pop fans, so why not mix the two?

The album benefits from Michele’s highly trained voice, and she doesn’t sound out of place within the context of the dance-oriented club anthems and soaring ballads that are the hallmark of “Louder.” But lyrically, “Louder” is rather one-sided, as she often sings about the perils of relationships, over and over, in ways that we’ve all heard many times at this point. Still, it’s a solid effort that shows she has promise as a bona fide pop artist. Next time, hopefully, she’ll dig deeper into the Lea soul.

Which songs on “Louder” deserve to be turned up? Check out our track-by-track review of Lea Michele’s debut LP.

1. Cannonball

Co-written by Sia and produced by Stargate, “Cannonball” is Michele’s lead single, and for good reason. It’s an anthemic pop song about overcoming obstacles and rising above set to a nice, mid-tempo beat. It’s not too clear why one would want to fly like a cannonball, as she suggests throughout, but the song sounds empowering, and that’s the point.

2. On My Way - Michele starts off with a slow, pouty vocal that quickly gives way to another club-oriented track that’s about returning to someone who’s not right for you. Sobriety and intoxication comparisons to love run rampant throughout, as she belts out that her “heart’s too drunk to drive” and she exists in a “blackout state of mind.”

3. Burn With You - By the third song, it’s easy to tell that Lea has love on her mind, and she revealed earlier this year to Teen Vogue that this track was her boyfriend Cory Monteith’s favorite. “Burn With You” starts off as a soft, folkie number that morphs into a slow, warbled beat; the song tells the tale of two lovers who may not be right for each other, with dramatic lines like “I don’t want to go to heaven if you’re going to hell/ I will burn with you.” Rachel Berry would be proud.

4. Battlefield

Ballads are a natural fit for Michele, and on the piano-based “Battlefield,” she demonstrates vocal restraint when there’s often temptation to go big on songs like this. It’s another song about falling in love and breaking hearts, where the battlefield is the struggle to let go. It’s sappy, but Michele owns songs like this.

5. You’re Mine

At first, “You’re Mine” sounds like a low-rent Broadway rip-off, but it quickly turns into one of the more musically complex songs of “Louder.” The foundation is a mid-tempo, hazy beat, that pairs well with Michele’s soaring vocals and subtle, lush orchestration.

6. Thousand Needles

“Thousand Needles” is the darkest-sounding song on “Louder,” starting off with low-key percussion and featuring the dramatic image of why losing someone is like “having a thousand needles in my heart.” More pain, more sorrow, more exhaustion.

7. Louder - Of the title track, Michele told Billboard that “It shows off my voice as a singer, which is really important to me. I want to make sure that every song on my record is fun and enjoyable.” This track, above all, is deeply enjoyable, and finds Michele once again singing about overcoming adversity. It’s a song that would fit well on your workout playlist.

8. Cue the Rain - By the eighth track, Michele has shown a range of pop styles that work well with her voice, and “Cue the Rain” is where the album starts to feel redundant. There’s more fire references, more soul-searching and more wrestling with growing apart in a relationship. But on the bright side, it’s one of two songs that Michele co-wrote, and it doesn’t seem out-of-place or awkward.

9. Don’t Let Go - If there was one song on “Louder” that could be cut, “Don’t Let Go” should’ve been let go. It’s another mid-tempo pop song that features bland imagery about flying high as a kite and holding on tight.

10. Empty Handed - If you like the idea of Michele sitting in with Coldplay, “Empty Handed” is your song. It’s a slow-building piano-pop rock tune about letting someone love you, and it’s one of the best songs – and a deserving potential single – from “Louder.”

11. If You Say So

The final track on “Louder” is the second song Michele co-wrote and is about Monteith’s death. It’s a devastating piano ballad that, naturally, feels the most personal, whereas a majority of “Louder” songs feel tailor-made for junior high dances.

“While I was looking the other way your fire went out
Left me with cinders to kick into dust
What a waste of the wonder you were
In my living fire I will keep your scorn and mine
In my living fire I will keep your heartache and mine
At the disgrace of a waste of a life”

Worth It

Summary: In which Luke is in love with his roommate, who happens to be totally oblivious to his feelings for her.

gif is not mine

At the crack of dawn, her bare feet felt the intensity of the cold, tile kitchen floors, sending a shiver up her spine. Slowly, with the bright lights of the room prying her eyes open, she opened the fridge grabbing the gallon of milk by the handle ready to pour herself a glass of milk. After pouring herself a glass, she sat down on the couch, before turning on the television, an attempt to wake her up in the slightest way.

Andy had a rough night. At the age of sixteen, she always had trouble sleeping at night. For her sake, she thought it would sift away as she became older, but her desire to sleep only grew and her ability to actually do so was at a weak level. Here Andy sat, going off of no sleep with a glass of milk in her hands, wishing she had acquired a taste for coffee.

On the dot at six thirty in the morning, Luke, Andy’s roommate walked in the living room, before sitting down right next to her. As Andy took a sip of milk from her cup, Luke rested his head on her shoulder, his breaths clouding around her neck.

“Couldn’t sleep again?” Andy simply, shrugged, letting out a sigh of exhaustion.

Luke removed himself from her side, before walking over to the kitchen, to whip some breakfast for the pair. As he was doing so, he admired Andy from a far. Her long legs that he loved were covered with sweatpants while her stomach was exposed due to her lack of shirt. Luke couldn’t help but notice her full boobs, compressed against the constrictions of the sports bra. Luke knew it was wrong for him to look at her the way he did, but he couldn’t help it. He tried to not think about her in that way, but she was Andy. The Andy who he had walked in on in the shower, completely and fully exposed, nearly two months ago. Graciously, she had forgiven him, trusting it was just an accident. Luke saw her in a new light now, he often found himself trying to impress her or flirting with her. To his advantage, Andy didn’t notice what he was doing. She simply just went along with it, thinking nothing of it.

Now, Luke and Andy sat at the table both eating an omelet Luke had made, along with some toast. The two ate in silence, Andy too tired to try and make conversation. To her dismay, Luke was attempting to talk to her, but she kept brushing him off like a pestering fly.

“Andy, Can I ask you something?” She simply nodded at the blue-eyed boy, “Are you like into girls? It’s just I’ve never actually seen you with a guy, like ever. It’s just seems a little different to me. I don’t know, just forget about it.”

“It’s okay, Luke.” Andy crossed her legs under the table, before shifting in the wooden chair. “I’m actually not into girls. I like guys, if that’s what you’re asking.”

“Then why don’t you ever date? It’s not like guys don’t ask you out. You’re Andy.” She couldn’t help, let out a light laugh at Luke.

“Yes, I am Andy and guys have asked me out, but I’ve never held enough interest to actually go out with someone.”

“So, you’re basically saving yourself for the right guy. It makes sense and it’s cute.”

“Yeah, I just don’t to give all I have to some asshole who has no regard for my feelings. I want to be friends with the guy. I went to get to know him on a personal level before we even start dating. Something like that has always seemed like a good idea.” Andy rambled on and she figured Luke wasn’t listening, but he was. To every word falling from her lips, he was following her intently.

The remainder of the day went out normally, Luke went to work and so did Andy. Andy tended to patients and Luke dealt with ego headed artists at the studio. Both of them returned home tired and worn out, ready to confide in each other about the day before heading off to bed.

Luke walked in the front door, finding Andy cuddled up on the couch, watching one of her action movies that she loved so much. Luke slipped off his black converse before sitting on the floor, directly in front of her. Andy admired him for a few minutes and she noticed his hair almost looked too perfect. Picking up her hand from underneath the soft blanket, she began running her fingers through his hair. Luke hummed in appreciation at the simple act. Once she had wrecked his hair enough, she stopped tracing her arm back to her own side. Much to his dismay, Luke didn’t feel her touch anymore so he brought it upon himself to alter the situation. Slowly, stepping up from the floor, he picked up Andy by the hips, her legs instantly wrapping around his body. Not even questioning it, Andy let Luke carry them both to her room. Softly placing her on the bed, before he followed suit, snuggling into her back side.

As his arm laid over her side, he could feel the warmth of her bare skin and he loved it. Luke liked when he was this close to her. He could almost hear her thoughts with every shallow breath she took. Luke could smell her scent, lavender.

“Luke?”

“Andy?”

“Why don’t you ever date anyone?” Luke sighed.

“I’m just waiting for someone. Hoping they’ll come around for me.”

“You’re Luke. They should be the one waiting on you.”

“She’s worth it. I’ve never met anyone like her and I don’t want to.” Luke kissed Andy’s shoulder delicately, before intertwining their hands. He really hoped she knew he was talking about her, but Luke knew she wasn’t ready to hear it yet. He kept his mouth shut for the rest of the night, softly singing to her ear, lulling his sweet love to sleep.
