5 things that should have been in the Hunger Games movie

1) More original quotes from the books: What happened to lines like “You’ve got as much charm as a dead slug” or “She has no idea. The effect she can have.”? Would it really have been that hard to include a few more of them?

What about Gale telling Katniss “Remember, I…” before the Peacekeepers drag him out? I was really disappointed when they made Liam say “I’ll see you soon” instead - I know, it’s supposed to show the audience that he believes in Katniss coming back aso… but I don’t like it. At all.

2) Haymitch trying to hug Effie and falling off the stage during the reaping: Seriously, that was one of the most hilarious scenes in the first book and I would’ve LOVED to see Woody Harrelson and Elizabeth Banks act it out…

3) Cato holding Clove while she is dying: Ok, I don’t even ship Clato that hard, but that scene was amazing. It showed that the Careers are not just brainless killing machines but real teenagers with normal teenage feelings and reactions. Well, they gave Alexander that monologue during the cornucopia scene to bring the point across - but imo that change was completely unnecessary.

4) Katniss freaking out and screaming Peeta’s name in the Hovercraft: For me this was one of the most intense scenes in the whole book and a very important point in Katniss’ and Peeta’s developing relationship. And just imagine how brilliant Jennifer would have been in this scene.

5) One word: MADGE!

[[Dear movie-only fans,

Few of you noticed me. None of you know who I am. I am the girl that serves the District 12 tributes before they are slaughtered by the Capitol. I cannot speak. I have no tounge. I am an Avox. I could never forget Katniss’s face. She was my last hope.

Hopefully, you will learn more about me,

President Snow says he’s sending us a message? Well, I have one for him. You can torture us and bomb us and burn our districts to the ground, but do you see that? Fire is catching! And if we burn, you burn with us!
