The Lord of the Rings Meme  28. favourite family relationship: siblings

“My friend, you had horses, and deed of arms, and the free fields; but she, being born in the body of a maid, had a spirit and courage at least the match of yours.”  | “Yet between the brothers there was great love, and had been since childhood, when Boromir was the helper and protector of Faramir. No jealousy or rivalry had arisen between them since, for their father’s favour or for the praise of men.”

Day 3: Is there any of the films adaptations that have made you angry because they’ve ignored important parts of the book?

#UM OH I DON’T KNOW I MEAN THEY KINDA SKIPPED THE ONLY LEGIT LOVE STORY IN THE ENTIRE TRILOGY, I MEAN ARWEN WAS ONLY IN THE BOOK FOR LIKE HALF A PAGE AND EOWYN NEEDED TO NOT WANNA BE A QUEEN ANYMORE AND FARAMIR NEEDED TO LIKE GRAB HER AND KISS HER ON THE WALLS OF MINAS TIRITH, NOT GIVING A SHIT IF ANYONE SAW OKAY

Day 10: Favorite man

…a boy of the citadel. A very foolish one; who spent many hours slaying dragons instead of attending to his studies.

Because he was able to resist the ring. And he’s very humble and and and David Wenham was just amazing. I don’t like what they did to him in the movies but it’s alright I guess, because he was still able to redeem himself in the end. But still, I think I am forever in love with book Faramir.

I’m renaming this question “favorite member of the fellowship besides Frodo and Sam”, LOL because, I really need to talk about someone else throughout this meme. SO, besides them, it was kind of hard to choose because I love them all so much. Pippin’s story and character development are my favorite out of the rest of them though, so here he is. I really love his air of innocence that stays with him throughout the entire story, even as he grows stronger and more mature. Plus he’s definitely the character that makes me laugh the most, so major bonus points for that as well ♥

The Lord of the Rings 30 Day Challenge Day 28 - A scene that makes me cry

I actually cry a lot throughout the lord of the rings, when Gandalf ‘dies’, when Boromir dies, pretty much any scene in the second half of the return of the king. But the ultimate is 'you bow to no one’ this scene just breaks my heart, the faces of the hobbits is priceless.
