I ship Bellamione because Bellatrix is so dark, enigmatic, and straight up sexy. Hermione is intelligent, compassionate, and beautiful. In a twisted, fucked up, kind of way, they compliment one another. They are the inverses, the antithesis of the other. They can bring out the best and worst in each other. Both break down the stereotypes placed on them. Bella is strong, outspoken, and powerful, uncommon in the misogynistic world of the Purebloods. Hermione is intelligent, clever, and also extremely powerful, the opposite of what a Mudblood should be. The Fanfiction is dark, full of realism, and struggle. Each character is portrayed perfectly. To me, they just fit. I hate Romione with a passion. Ron is an idiot who can’t challenge or appreciate Hermione. Bellatrix however, can match her in wit, intelligence, and sass. They have enough in common to work and enough differences to make the relationship a challenge.
Here’s my theory. The Harry Potter trio are actually representations of the other houses. Hermione is Ravenclaw, Ron is Hufflepuff, and Harry is Slytherin. They’re all in Gryffindor because they asked. In fact, everyone in that house could have been in another houses if they hadn’t asked to be in Gryffindor. You have be ask to be in Gryffindor because their most defining feature is bravery, and anyone can choose to be brave.

Severus Snape is a miserable, lonely soul trapped in darkness. Hermione Granger is thriving in the land of the light. Craving a change to end his suffering, his lonliness, Severus ensnares the flower of Gryffindor… Yet Snape forgets that some flowers have thorns, and young Hermione - though often fair and kind - will draw blood. The two must learn that not all things are black and white. Sometimes they can be a little gray.
Created from the idea of Severus Snape & Hermione Granger becoming sort of representations of Hades & Persephone. It’s a rather fitting set-up for them in a sense. I made changes, of course. I made the adaption that even Persephone was not all sunshine and daisies and Hades is not all doom and gloom. They balance each other. Just as I see these characters balancing the dark and light in each other by bringing it out of the other.

once in 8th grade this kid was asking me for advice about his girlfriend and he said “how can girls have so many emotions at once?” and i dead-panned “just because you’ve got the emotional range of a teaspoon doesn’t mean everyone else has” and that is still my proudest acheivement
