minamoto yoshitsune

The person cuts down the Earth Spider without a second thought,
thus exterminating the monster by taking its life away with a sword.

Those serene folktales are a thing of the past.
I have continued to tarnish this sword with human blood.
I’m just a bit regretful to my ancestors.

If it’s true that this is valuable,
for this blade to be even sharper
is something I wish for.

No, no, I’m not saying I want luxuries,
my wish is for a magic sword that can
decapitate a hundred people in a single swing.

Because, look, going one by one is a waste of time, isn’t it?

Happy anniversary Musical Touken ranbu !

Two years ago on the 30/10/2015 was the première of Touken ranbu trial.

I’m so glad thèse musical exists, and what a delight to have benkei and most of the human team back!

I gathered the photos from the rehearsals on Twitter since they had 2 birthday célébration and benkei’s actor posted a photo of yoshitsune’s actor with the new boys, they are very cute(my Google translate-fu fails me on this tweet).

It is said that Sakai Inari Jinja (境稲荷神社) was founded in the 15th century, and then burnt down and rebuilt several times. To its north is a well that was allegedly constructed by Benkei, a follower of military commander Minamoto no Yoshitsune. During the American air raids of 1945, which destroyed most of eastern Tokyo, this well was a lifesaver that provided water to residents.

Today the shrine can be found outside the University of Tokyo’s Ikenohata Gate, and just around the corner from Shinobazu Pond in Ueno Park.
