Abandoned Milwaukee Road Electric Engine, Tacoma Tideflats, 1969.

The Milwaukee line across the Cascades, now the Iron Horse Trail parallel to I-90 across Snoqualmie Pass, was electrified for much of its history. Sometime in the 1960s the electric locomotives were exchanged for diesel, and this electric engine was left to decay in Tacoma. Later, of course, the rail line ceased operation and the rails were torn out.
