Snow Leopard Boy and His Toys

The Snow Leopard cub at Milwaukee County Zoo has been busy playing with new toys and developing his skills! Patrons of the zoo are able to purchase toys and items from a wish list. The toys encourage behavior similar to what is seen in the wild, and they provide enrichment the growing zoo babies need to stimulate their minds and bodies.

Happy Birthday to our jaguar Pat who turns 17 today! Stop by Big Cat Country to see him enjoying special St. Patrick’s Day treats (such as hidden green hard-boiled eggs) to mark the day. Happy Birthday, Pat!
Pat is a wild-born cat from Belize, and provides valuable genes to all of the captive jaguars throughout the country. We’re proud to have Pat as part of the Milwaukee County Zoo collection!

Happy 17th birthday, big boy!

“We are so very excited to announce the addition of two new jaguars to our animal collection! Inka is a 1-year-old female that comes to us from Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, WA, and Zean is a 2-year-old male that comes to us from Milwaukee County Zoo in Wisconsin. They currently occupy the space formerly belonging to Anasazi and Cali, but they’ll be moving to a brand new exhibit that begins construction next year. Click here to learn more!”
