I mean this was the most magic, different looking, handsome dude, and I use to look at the side of his face, and I said; Lord this ain’t right, he’s too pretty, I look like Mr. Ed the mule. So I just turned my guitar up a little louder and jumped a little higher, and said I’ll just write songs, he can’t do that. ’’  – Carl Perkins.
