Lately, I’ve been living and breathing Earl Grey tea. I’ve been drinking London Fogs all day every day, I’m pretty sure I’m starting to speak with an English accent too..
Needless to say, today I woke up with the strongest craving for something kissed by bergamot, and nothing else would do but these scones. Like my Earl Grey cupcakes, we are putting tea leaves directly into these scones so don’t mistake me for some fool who is going to call this an Earl Grey scone if it doesn’t actually taste like a cup of tea.
Heres what you’ll need to make 18 mini scones:
2 cups all purpose flour 1 ½ tsp baking powder 1/3 cup sugar 3 bags of Earl Grey tea ¼ cup cold vegan butter ¼ cup cold coconut oil ¾ cup soy milk
In a mixing bowl, mix together all the dry ingredients and the tea. Then cut the coconut oil and butter into the flour. I do this with a whisk, but if you have a pastry cutter, use that. Once the chunks of oil and butter are pea sized, moisten the dough with the milk. You should be able to form it into a ball, so use less or more as needed. At this point, separate the dough into 3 even sized balls. Flatten each of them into a disk 1″ in height, and cut into 6 triangles. You will have 18 scones. Bake on a parchment lined sheet at 400 F for ~15 minutes. They should be just slightly golden.
To make the glaze, just pour icing sugar into a bowl and add some soy milk until its the right consistency. Dip them, add any toppings, and they’ll be set within a few minutes.
I think I dreamt about you once before seeing you at a club that night Not usually my scene, but we both know my friends can be overly encouraging You were dancing in a jet-black dress that matched your hair a little too well We locked eyes across the room; time and space stopped for a moment And I experienced what can only be described as perfection
Now it is 3AM on a Tuesday and neither of us can sleep I pour myself a glass of milk in the kitchen and watch as you walk down the stairs Your hair’s a mess, a strap from your silky nightgown is hanging off your shoulder, and you smile at me It manages to be seductive and absolutely adorable at the same time
All I can think is how You are so wonderful Too wonderful, for this world Too gentle, too perfect, too lovely
Months pass, The sky is clear and captivating The moon is full, and the snow on the ground reflects its light beautifully
You take my hand and whisper in my ear, “Let’s dance outside my bedroom window.” I can feel your smile against my skin
It was a dance like no other glittering ravens kissed the sky around us and made for the perfect night
I remember it still sometimes when I close my eyes I wish you were here with me just for now just for this one moment where I can pretend we actually make it to the end.

Game ingredients: Wheat Flour, Sugar, Blackberry(x2)
This recipe restores 175 energy and 70 health. It can be obtained from the Cooking Channel and sells for 260g.
Difficulty: Easy, 45 minutes. Serves 6.
Turns out blackberries are expensive where I live, so this recipe is a peach-blackberry cobbler. You can add other fruits like apples, plums, cherry, etc.
Filling: -4 cups fruit: peaches (peeled and sliced) and blackberries -½ cup brown sugar -1 tablespoon cornstarch -¼ teaspoon nutmeg -¼ teaspoon cinnamon -½ cup water -1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
Biscuit: -1 cup flour -2 tablespoons sugar -1 teaspoon baking powder -Pinch of salt -¼ cup butter -1 egg -¼ cup milk
In a medium saucepan, combine the brown sugar, cornstarch, nutmeg, cinnamon, water, and lemon juice. Cook on medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture becomes thick and bubbly.
Add the blackberries and peaches to the sauce and mix well. Reduce the heat and cook on low for 2-3 minutes.
Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt into a medium mixing bowl. With a pastry blender, cut in the butter until it resembles coarse crumbs. Add the egg and milk and stir until fully combined.
Pour the fruit and sauce into a medium casserole dish and spoon the biscuit mix on top. I tried to do the design as shown in the preview image from the game, but the biscuit mix is fairly thick.
Bake in a 400°F oven for 20 to 25 minutes or til the top of the biscuits are dry and a light golden brown and the sauce is bubbling.
Let it cool for 5 minutes, then serve plain or with ice cream.
This recipe is hearty, sweet, and fruity. Especially good on autumn nights, but it can be eaten any time of the year.
The recipe is for the soup! The side salad was previously featured here and I hopefully won’t need to instruct how to cook Tofurky.
This soup is a bounty of what summer has to offer. Many plants in the Cucurbitaceae family are fresh and plentiful this time of year, so when taking a trip to most markets this time of year you can find a pretty cheap infusion of nutrition. Summer squashes are rich in vitamin C, B-6, manganese, and the potassium does not look too shabby either! A dose of spinach gives it some street cred with the Vitamin A and K. This side dish comes pre-equipped with a decent dose of fat macro nutrients, so pair with some protein to make it a complete meal! The soup has a mild but refreshing flavor, with some richness. Pairings that pack a punch of brightness and zing will be ideal.
2 TBSP olive oil
2 medium zucchini, diced
2 medium yellow summer squash, diced
½ a large onion, diced
1 stalk celery, diced
3-5 cloves of garlic, minced
a large handful of spinach (to give more of a green color and an extra nutrient punch)
twist the head off a bunch of fresh, flat parsley leaves, roughly chopped
½ cup dry sherry
quart of vegetable stock (preferably no salt added or low sodium
salt, to taste
black pepper, to taste
juice of half a lemon
15 oz can of coconut milk
In a large pot, heat the olive oil over high heat. Saute the onion and garlic down until soft and fragrant, then add the celery to do the same. Pinch of salt, stir! Add in the zucchini and squash and allow that to start softening down, stirring regularly. After a few minutes, add the sherry and let it simmer for a few minutes to allow the alcohol to start cooking off. Next, add in vegetable stock, the majority of the salt, and the black pepper. Put the spinach in as well, let it come to a boil, then lower it to simmer. When the zucchini + squash are fork tender and spinach is shrunk down, add the parsley leaves and lemon juice. Give it only a few minutes to soften up the herbs (but not obliterate them) before taking an immersion blender and blending the soup smooth. Add the coconut milk and give it another whiz before adjusting the seasoning and getting ready to serve. Recipe yields 10-12 side dish and starter portions. It probably wouldn’t make a very satiating lunch even if you doubled it up, but Lord knows I can’t stop you.
