Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli Unveil Fondazione Prada’s New Milan Headquarters

Fondazione Prada (Prada Foundation), an institution dedicated to contemporary art and culture, has opened the doors to its new sprawling Milan headquarters. Helmed by Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli, the new 205,000 square foot space is located in Largo Isarco, the southern part of Milan, and is made up of seven existing buildings recovered from a distillery that dates back to 1916 and three new structures. “We want to be proactive, stimulate artists and propose [an artistic] offer for the future, drawing young people closer to concepts that are often forgotten,” said Bertelli.

There’s pieces scattered throughout the seven buildings from the likes of Damien Hirst, David Hockney, Yves Klein, Eva Hesse and more. Rounding out the space is a Wes Anderson-designed a Milanese café.
