mike j. fox

so I think it’s beautiful irony that Disney used Michael J Fox (among others) as inspiration while creating the character Aladdin

charismatic heartthrob. yet when they actually hire him for an animated movie, they cast him as this gUY

Lmaooo yet it’s honestly ??? perfect. nobody could play him better.

but it made me really think, there is such a difference between the roles MJF plays onscreen and the ones he does voice work for. He typically plays confident smart asses (Aladdins lol) yet in Homeward Bound, Stuart Little and Atlantis, he’s the sweet underdog. And literal dog. I suppose isolating the voice from his good looks & perceived type emphasizes the youthful tone and friendly quality to him that mesh so well with his onscreen counterparts, like Milo.

Me watching the animated sci-fi adventure films that destroyed american 2d animation due to bombing hugely
  • Titan AE: I hope this will be the first unambiguously good movie Don Bluth has directed since the Secret of Nimh! ...Nope.
  • Atlantis The Lost Empire: I love Mike Mignola art, Michael J Fox, and Disney animation, but this movie is basically Stargate with more uneven pacing.
  • Treasure Planet: WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE, CAPTAIN. ALSO YOU ARE A GOOD VILLAIN SILVER. AND THIS MOVIE IS SURPRISINGLY RELEVANT TO MY CURRENT LIFE AND IT IS ALSO GORGEOUS. WHY DID THIS NOT MAKE ALL THE MONIES EVER.
I imagine a large part of being in the American Republican Party these days is being weary  and sad and nervous about anyone asking too many inconvenient questions, TBH.

“Hey, why did we invade Iraq and kill one million civilians and then totally forget about it? Why did we turn a blind eye to Sandy Hook? Why will we never give a fuck about Tamir Rice? Why are we so convinced Obama is a Kenyan?”

And you’ll never get the answer. Because, you know, ultimately, you’re sick, sad little low IQ zombies.

And the worst kind of zombies. The ones who convince themselves that they secretly aren’t.
