Further Observations
  • There are more than 3000 floors to Kane Co Tower, if the number behind Kane when he walks into his office are to be believed. The current tallest building the WORLD is only a couple-hundred.  WE GET IT DUDE YOURS IS BIGGER.
  • Casual reminder Texas punches the inside of his car to make it do things instead of pressing buttons
  • also he appears to have two gas pedals so he can just slAM BOTH FEET ON THEM AS HARD AS POSSIBLE
  • We see exactly one (1) female Kane Co. executive (excluding Julie) and she appears to be a very curvy middle-aged black lady who I have immediately decided is Claire’s mom
  • OKAY BUT IT WOULD MAKE SO MUCH SENSE THAT’S HOW CLAIRE AND JULIE ENDED UP FRIENDS!  Kane wouldn’t let just anybody be his precious Julie-Bear’s friend!  Claire’s mom is part of Kane’s Board of Directors!  YOU CAN’T TAKE THIS HEADCANON FROM ME
  • Almost every time we catch a brief glimpse of Chuck’s eyes he’s making a face like >8C  like this boy is scared but also he is ready to Throw Down
  • Jacob has canonically created AIs that can feel loyalty, fear and kinship, and that can be moved by speeches/emotionally engaged.
  • So honestly, we’re a go for any android headcanon anybody wants to throw around, lbr.
  • The face Mike makes when Chuck is like “I’d have to save you life and let’s face it, that ain’t gonna happen” literally breaks my heart EVERY TIME he’s so sad that Chuck’s sad oh my god.
  • related: the face Chuck makes when Mike pins the crown pin on his chest makes me UNBELIEVABLY GODDAMN EMOTIONAL holy crap he’s so happy
  • Rayon could literally punch me in the face and I would be like HAHA WOW
  • The Duke is REALLY PISSED about Mike accidentally wrecking one half-built car-frame, but literally fires fully-built limos out of a cannon at people.  WHAT IS THE TRUTH
  • Listening to Chuck babbling while trying to drive in Blonde Thunder like AT LEAST LET HIM SWEAR HE OBVIOUSLY WANTS TO HE IS DYING
  • LET CHUCKLES SAY FUCKLES

Steve Mnuchin may be the latest Trump official to violate ethics agreement

  • Once again, a member of President Donald Trump’s administration is in hot water over potentially unethical conduct.
  • Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) sent a letter to the director of the Office of Government Ethics alleging that Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin may have violated an ethics agreement that prohibits him from promoting his own business interests.
  • Wyden said the alleged violation came during an interview with Mike Allen, a co-founder of the start-up news website Axios, when Mnuchin plugged The Lego Batman Movie. The movie is being produced by Mnuchin’s company, Ratpac-Dune Entertainment.
  • “I’m not allowed to promote anything that I’m involved in,” Mnuchin said during a live interview with Allen on Friday, according to the letter. “So I just want to have the legal disclosure, you’ve asked me the question and I am not promoting any product. But you should all send your kids to Lego Batman.” Read more (3/27/17 4:21 PM)

Mike blinks once, startled, and then bursts out laughing. “Me?!” he says, and shakes his head as Chuck gives him a slightly hurt look. “Chuckles, come on. I’m a cadet, what am I gonna do in a lab?”

“That’s what I’m trying to tell you,” Chuck persists. “It’s a program–a cyborg enhancement program. Uh…a super-soldier. Program.”

Or: the story of how Mike became more than human, and then less, and then found a happy medium somewhere new.

Dude, I noticed that Katara's looks changed throughout B3 depending on who wrote the episode. Like in TSR and the Old Masters, she looks more her age and has curves, and also looks really good w/ Zuko, esp in the Old Masters. They looked really cute together when June teased them about being a couple, when they slept next to each other on Appa, and when they were outside Iroh's tent. I thought Zuko especially had softer expressions and just looked really pretty in the moonlight xD

But then in episodes like The Phoenix King when they were having the beach party, Katara looked so stick thin. Suki is around her age, yet she had obvious curves in that ep. Katara also looked younger and more juvenile in The Headband and in the last ep of B3, and all her curves were gone lol. I noticed these inconsistencies when I first watched the show and couldn’t make sense of it, but now I realize that her portrayal varied depending on who wrote and directed the ep.

Yep. That was something I always noticed even in Book 2, and it became really bad in Book 3. It felt like there were separate versions of the characters and it was distracting. In “Kataang” episodes, Katara looked more cutesy and juvenile. Bryke or the “Kataang” writes/directors usually handled these episodes.

And in other episodes, she looked older and had curves. She would have looked weird being romantic with Aang in the episodes where she looked more womanly. Ehasz or the “Zutara” writers usually handled these episodes. And her personality was different also. She acted more adult-like, compared to how she acts in Kataang episodes.

I could always tell when we were supposed to ship Kataang by how Katara was drawn. If her eyes were really big, then it was a Kataang moment. Mike Dimartino was a co-writer for The Serpent’s Pass.

But when Katara had her romantic conversation with Zuko, she was drawn more normal. Her eyes were not disproportionately large and she looked more her age. Ehasz wrote this episode.

But even by the end, they made her look so childlike. Even the first time I watched The Crossroads of Destiny, I noticed that and I knew that we were supposed to see the ending as a Kataang moment because of how young she looked. And later when she was threatening Zuko, she looked so young and I got the same vibes. A Kataang moment.

In Kataang episodes, her body would look really skinny, and her head would be very big, and her eyes would take up half her face. She looked like a little girl in the Kataang episodes. And her profile would make her nose look so tiny.

I feel like they did to Katara what they did with Zuko. In Book 3, Zuko looked older and more harsh in appearance. And they made Katara look younger and more cutesy, so she would look more compatible with Aang and less with Zuko. In The Phoenix King, they look weird together, since she looks so much younger. Bryke wrote that episode. But in The Old Masters, they look closer in age and more compatible, since Ehasz wrote and Volpe directed. It was very weird.

Levi’s handwriting

I read AU smartpass latest story yesterday and couldn’t stop grinning because of Levi >< Now we finally know that Levi’s handwriting is incredibly beautiful.

Petra told Levi that his handwriting was beautiful when she saw his signature on the documents. Levi asked her if she thought that he couldn’t read or write because he came from underground city. Petra was upset because she never had such idea. (I feel sorry for her lol She asked the question out of pure admiration but Levi’s language was just too bad lol)

After that, she delivered the documents to Erwin’s room. He saw Petra’s troubled face so he asked her what happened. And he smiled after Petra finished her story >< (Why Erwin has to smile at Levi, directly or indirectly, in every smartpass story lol they are such sweet old men couples)

Erwin told Petra that Levi might not well-educated as those who were raised normally in the city but his wisdom about the world and ability to look through people was no match for anyone here.

Erwin and Hanji began to recall their nostalgic memories when Levi had just become a captain. He asked Erwin, Hanji and Mike (They were co-workers back then) a question: ‘Whose handwriting is the best among you guys?’. At first, they didn’t quite understand Levi’s issue because for them, Levi’s writing and reading ability wasn’t bad at all. He seemed to do document work without any trouble.

For Levi, being a captain means that he has to handle tons of military documents. Even though Hanji did tell him that his reading and writing ability was the same level as the veterans and he also had an aide who would do document work for him if he wanted, Levi still insisted that as a captain, trust from subordinates was very important (like…the mechanism will fail without subordinates’ trust) (Levi is  so cute that it hurts lol)

Therefore Levi, who had already been able to read and write, began to study again from the beginning and before anyone knew, his handwriting became incredibly beautiful and clean as if it was published on newspapers. (Levi did claim that Erwin’s, Hanji’s and Mike’s handwriting were very bad lol I think the worst among them is Hanji XD)

I always thought that eruri’s handwritings are beautiful and Erwin’s is better but I was wrong XD Levi being a perfectionist is adorable ><

 Sorry for not fully translating and my poor English ^^;

On this day in music history: February 1, 1969 - “Crimson And Clover” by Tommy James & The Shondells hits #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 2 weeks. Written by Tommy James and Peter Lucia, it is the second chart topping single for the band fronted by singer and songwriter Tommy James. The song is recorded with James playing most of the instruments accompanied by bassist Mike Vale and drummer/co-writer Lucia. For the crowning touch, James plugs a microphone into an Ampeg guitar amplifier and sings through it with the tremolo setting turned on. WLS in Chicago is the first radio station in the US to air the record. Roulette Records ends up releasing the original rough mix of the song after the overwhelmingly positive response from listeners. Entering the Hot 100 at #85 on December 14, 1968, it leaps to the top seven weeks later. It becomes Tommy James & The Shondells’ biggest single, selling over five million copies worldwide. For the album version of the track, additional instrumental passages are recorded and spliced into the track, to give it an even “trippier and psychedelic” feel. “Crimson And Clover” is covered by a number of artists over the years including Prince and by Joan Jett And The Blackhearts whose version peaks at #7 on the Hot 100 in June of 1982.

‘’We went to a park here in Portland that overlooks the entire city. We sat there on the grass talking. Then we went down to where the bars are, the corners where the kids hang out. We talked the entire day. I grabbed a piece of my gut and gave it to him. One of the reasons I opened up to him is that I felt he did understand and felt how I did - not the same way, but the pain.’’ — [Mike talking about River].
