midnorth mercantile

anonymous asked:

Visiting Chicago in November, as an international traveler and menswear nerd what are the recommended spots in town to hit (not necessarily just retail)? 4 years on, your blog still mega strong. Bless.

Many thanks for the kind words.

And apologies for the delayed response.

Here are some spots that you should stop by:

1: Notre Shop:  A new store opening in Andersonville in early November that is going to be carrying some amazing brands.

2: Midnorth Mercantile: The best vintage shop in the city by far. Also does a great shave/haircut. The owner Mike is a master barber and collects hard to find men’s vintage pieces.

3: Dusek’s: Great restaurant with a fantastic menu. Try the smoked hanger steak.

4: Chicken Shop: Located on the ground Floor of the new Chicago Soho House. Awesome chicken and fries and a great burger to boot.

5: Heritage Cycles: Coffee + Bikes + Nicest baristas in the city.

6: Chicago Music Exchange: Guitars as far as the eye can see. Great place to stop by for musicians and non-musicians alike.
