Illustrating the Festival Hall mid-century style

These fantastic illustrations come from a 1951 book recording the design and building of the Festival Hall on the South Bank in London. Talk about mid-century modern!

Five illustrators are credited with work on the book - designed overall by the remarkable F H K Henrion. These images, with their slightly comical figures, look most like the work of Gordon Cullen though.
