Photoaday126: Micrococcus Luteus. This is gram positive cocci. This slide actually reads as both gram positive and a false gram negative. Hence what would have been only purple actually has a pink color as well.
You have no idea how difficult it is to take a photo through the ocular lens of a microscope with a phone.
Anyway, it happened. We gram stained E. coli (the purple rods) and M. luteus (the pink circles) yesterday in Micro lab. This is the result, however blurry. My phone didn’t focus very well, but it was magical nonetheless.
