Can we cast the first modern, openly gay Sherlock Holmes adaption?

Sherlock Holmes - Timothee Chalamet

Dr. John Watson - Thomas Brodie-Sangster

Mycroft Holmes - Emmett Scanlan

Mrs Hudson - Sophie Okonedo

Inspector Lestrade - Dev Patel

Professor Moriarty - Michael Obiora

Sebastian Moran - Riz Ahmed

No Mary Morstan.

No Irene Adler (at least not as a love interest)… as an Opera Singer I could see Zawe Ashton (who funnily was Donovan in the unaired pilot!):

And perhaps, to make up for the gender gap, we could genderswitch some of the villains? John Clay (RED) could be played by a woman, as could Jonas Oldacre (NOR). And of course we have loads of female clients (Twisted Lip, Solitary Cyclist, Identity…). Because I would love some good cases in a Sherlock Holmes adaption.

TRICKSTER’S QUEEN FANCAST: with Yara Shahidi as Queen Dovasary Balitang, Jennifer Lawrence as Aly, Gary Carr as Nawat, Janelle Monae as the Jaguar Goddess, Michael Obiora as Kyprioth, Lupita Nyong'o as Jimarn, Aisha Hinds as Chenaol, and Jai Courtney as Taybur Sibigat.
