You Can Tell A Lot About Someone By How They Look at a Character

Whether they’ve loved them…

Loved with them…

Hated them…

Or hated with them…

(Still haven’t seen this film)

Whether they think they’re brilliant…

Or mindbogglingly stupid…

(Still really like this film though)

Whether they want to be them…

Relate to them…

Remind them of their faults…

Of their aspirations…

Or disgust them to their core…

Whether it’s their favorite couple…

Or favorite pair of friends…

Whether they cheer them on as they change over time…

Or are saddened by the change…

Whether they weep for their death…

Or wished they would get killed off in the next scene…

Whether they see a friend…

A crush…

A parent…

A teacher…

A bully…

Someone who you just want to help get through a hard time…

Or someone completely new…

Whether they laugh with them…

Or cry with them…

They might have spent too much time together…

Or not enough…

They could see them as badass heroes…

Or badass villains…

Whether they feel great fear…

Or great inspiration…

We all see the families we have found…

And the pain we’ve been through…

And the relief that we feel when we come out of it a better person…

Because that’s what a character is: a character is a part of our lives. Whether they become a part later on or represent something we’ve been/are going through, good characters mean something a little different to each and every one of us.
