As you can see, my crusade goes on…
This is the most traumatic painting in my experience so far, right next to painting David Suchet’s Poirot when they announced “The Curtain”. Because SIR MICHAEL CAINE, and nothing can help me here. It took me hours to decide in which age to paint him. It took me even more to develop the asymmetry in his eyes. I do hope I succeeded, though, because this painting sucked a piece of my soul.
He’s the one who deserves not just a floral pattern, but stars and a crown.
And the song is Delerium & Sarah McLachlan’s “Silence”, because Michael Caine is the one who chose it for his playlist back in 2007, and nothing fits better.
