miami vice: the movie

Reblog with how you got into Star Trek

I went downstairs to hangout with my parents like a good daughter and they were watching wrath of khan. And immediately I’m like, this is so fucking gay. So I started googling if it was or not while the movie played cause I can never give anything my full attention, and decided it was totally gay. Despite my parents liking it which usually means something is really straight. Then the ending happened so I had to watch The Search for Spock immediately after because I was incredibly concerned about my newly found gay grandpa and his husband

“You all a bunch of fuckin’ assholes. You know why? You don’t have the guts to be what you wanna be? You need people like me. You need people like me so you can point your fuckin’ fingers and say, “That’s the bad guy.” So… what that make you? Good? You’re not good. You just know how to hide, how to lie. Me, I don’t have that problem. Me, I always tell the truth. Even when I lie. So say good night to the bad guy! Come on. The last time you gonna see a bad guy like this again, let me tell you. Come on. Make way for the bad guy. There’s a bad guy comin’ through! Better get outta his way!”

Okay so I was watching Miami Vice, and I can say that I hate the movie so badly, that is the first movie of Colin Farrell that I don’t like, and the reason is not him at all.

He was fantastic, but it was so badly filmed and so badly edited that it looked more like something a student would do instead of a film director, plus the dialogue was like punching someone in the face over and over again.

I watched an hour or something and I couldn’t continue when in one scene Farrell appears completely blonde and in the next scene his hair is brown again… like what the fuck editors?

That scene from The Veteran was fantastic; what other great film scenes do you think are severely under-rated?

If we’re just talking shootouts, I don’t see anyone really talking about the final shootout in the Miami Vice movie.

Same with the lodge scene from Public Enemies.

This scene from The Town (Spoilers)

And the heroin bust from American Gangster
