metatarsus adductus

Metatarus adductus, xray

MA is a congenital foot deformity seen most frequently in first born infants without a sexual predominance. It is characterized by a concave medial foot border with a convex lateral border. X rays show an increased angle between the first and second metatarsal. 10% of patients may have associated hip dysplasias. Mild cases correct spontaneously.
