OKAY SO I HAD A REALLY, REALLY WEIRD DREAM THIS MORNING THAT WAS LEGIT LIKE SOME SORT OF STAR WARS/DUNE SCI-FI/FANTASY THING WITH KIDS WITH MAGIC POWERS AND A DESERT AND A MESSIAH AND EVERYTHING BUT LONG STORY SHORT THE MESSIAH WAS SAM WINCHESTER WITH A PONYTAIL
God said that Amara had a habit of destroying everything he created. Because it was in her nature and because he was lousy at his job.
I thought if I could
show my sister that there was something more than just us, something
better than us, then maybe she’d change. But… every time I’d build a new world… she’d destroy it.
I am sure there was more to this than just “I tried to create, she destroyed, she is a horrible bully” angle God was trying to sell here but look at what Amara said later in the same episode.
It will all be over soon.
He’s not gonna save them.
It’s all going away… forever.
But not you, Dean.
Looks like God managed to create something/someone that finally, finally measured to Amara’s standards. Like, I can’t blame Amara here, God’s world is all messed up and he’s a coward, but Dean? Dean is fascinating, he embodies humanity with all it’s faults and virtues, he is beautiful inside and out, he is complex and complicated, he is a mixture of contradictions, he probably is the best of all of God’s creations—so it’s really not surprising that Amara instinctively recognized that and decided to save Dean.
*whispers* Many Biblical scholars agree that Jesus was probably around 33 when he died. And God’s Chosen needs to be the one who wields the Hand of God. And Sam is a paragon of free will and selfless sacrifice
