Taurus mercury/moon: no

Gemini mercury/moon: actually you could look at that from another angle and you could get a whole new perspective. I read about this once and actually blah blah blah blah *gives all of their knowledge of the subject, even if it’s unnecessary and gets them on a tangent*

Cancer mercury/moon: well from the way I know this and have experienced it I feel like you might be wrong…I remember from when we talked about it before…this subject just gives me bad vibes

Leo mercury/moon: I’m right because I’m the one saying I’m right, duh

Virgo mercury/moon: everything about what you said is wrong in 20837408327 ways *lists all 20837408327 ways in a categorical fashion*

Libra mercury/moon: I don’t know what to think!!!! forget what I said before, you’re right, I’m sorry for the conflict :///

Scorpio mercury/moon: *stares and tries to will the other person to admit they’re wrong*

Sagittarius mercury/moon: I’m right but whatever!!!! it’s fun that you’re wrong because now we can debate it haha

Capricorn mercury/moon: actually you’re wrong because you didn’t think about the practical side and it works out logistically to show that I’m right, see?

Aquarius mercury/moon: no no regardless of who’s wrong think about how this issue will impact society!!!! *rambles about something remotely related instead*

Pisces mercury/moon: if no one’s right it’s okay, it’s good to have different opinions and we can just dream about it together

detriment & fall

this post only covers inner planets. planets in detriment relate to the mind, planets in fall relate to physicality. planets in fall are considered the “most difficult” placement to have.

key: detriment / fall

the sun is about self-expression & self-identity. mentally, sun in aquarius worries about expressing itself without including the entire community. unlike leo, who thrives in the spotlight, aquarius needs to share it, and the sun does not want to share. the sun in air signs is the least happy because the air signs are double signs- the least likely to focus on oneself. sun in libra physically lacks the passion and fire. it conforms to everyone and everything around it. it leads by agreeing with its followers.

the moon is the least logical planet, our inner core and deepest, purest side of ourselves. moon in capricorn is mentally on another level. emotions are foreign because it finds that expressing their powerful emotions appropriately is a challenge, it forces itself to think and reason before it feels, opposite of what the moon is comfortable with. the moon is also very fluid- and capricorn, ruled by saturn, the planet of structure, finds it hard to go with the flow. moon in scorpio is arguably the most powerful/intense placement. many layers of the unconscious, feelings built up waiting to erupt. it is very prone to fear, and then physically putting a shield over it so no one can tell. the moon, ruled by cancer, wants to nurture and give life. she holds on to what she has in fear of losing it. scorpio (the sign of death) will transform to grow itself.

mercury is the planet of the mind- including logic, education, and all exterior thoughts. mercury in sagittarius is mentally uncomfortable. ruled by jupiter, the planet of expansion and the bigger picture, mercury struggles to discover the finer details it needs to find to be fulfilled. this is true for mercury in pisces as well, this placement is in detriment & fall. mercury is a young student, who learns with visuals in a classroom, jupiter is a wise old scholar, who learns from experience. both sagittarius and pisces are too imaginative for mercury- they think of general possibilities while gemini and virgo pinpoint the specific facts.

venus, the planet of beauty, possessions, and love. venus in scorpio doesn’t understand love the way taurus does. it mentally tries to gain power in a relationship to prevent vulnerability, while being clingy itself. venus is light and free. scorpio is too dark and intense. venus also emphasizes trust, scorpio is non-trusting. venus is traditional and holds high morals like taurus, scorpio dislikes this. scorpio is all-or-nothing- it can’t reach compromise for comfort. venus in aries doesn’t know how to balance love like libra. it wants to lead instead of understanding the importance of two heads are better than one. aries is the most self-centered sign being exalted in the sun. aries does not work with others as equals. scorpio and aries are ruled by mars, a masculine planet, and is uncomfortable in the femininity of venus. venus in virgo is physically too cautious and builds up many walls. venus in pisces naturally loves being vulnerable, sweet, & emotional- something that virgo would have to learn. venus glosses over the flaws and pisces puts on rose-colored glasses to adhere to this. virgo is too analytical, picky, and critical. virgo is also the sign of health, and venus loves indulgences and guilty pleasures.

mars, the planet of action and aggression. mars in libra doesn’t understand displays of anger. they want justice and equality, leading them to avoid confrontation and directing their energy inwards, making it umcomfortable for mars. mars runs on passion, emotion, and power. libra shies away from all three. mars in taurus is too slow for mars. mars needs things done NOW and it doesn’t need to think things over. it doesn’t need a voice of reason. as mentioned above, libra & taurus, ruled by feminine venus, can’t keep up with masculine mars.  mars also wants to enforce punishment, something venus would never do. mars in cancer is physically away from home. mars is a warrior, fighting on the battlefield. it does not live with its mother nor does it need nurturing- it has its own discipline from capricorn. mars needs to focus on itself to succeed- and cancer is far too sensitive to the people and environment around itself.

Mythology behind Mercury
The speed and swiftness of Mercury; the messenger God, has always been associated with communication. In Greek Mythology, Hermes was the messenger God, able to quickly move between the world of humans and Gods. Hermes was also quite the trickster, often playing practical jokes on the Gods. Hermes was also called “Mercury” because Mercury is it’s Roman equivalent. In Egyptian mythology, Thoth was the God of Knowledge and the Mind and Egyptians credited Thoth for anything related to science, philosophy and religion. It was the Greeks who declared Thoth as inventor of astrology, astronomy and even mathematics.

Mercury in Astrology
Communication is a daily thing and it’s an important one as well. Mercury, a rather underrated planet in astrology, is actually one of the most important ones. How we go on about our day, how we study, how we communicate, how we think is all based on our Mercury sign. Mercury is quick: quick thinking and a quick wit. Your opinions and your logic all stem from this small planet. The mind is clearly a powerful and precious thing. Mercury, on a deeper level, is about short trips, your siblings and your immediate surroundings. So how does the mind work, how does Mercury work when it’s placed in a specific sign?

Mercury in Aries
The mind is swift and bold with Mercury in Aries. They usually think for themselves and can be direct people, in a way they stay true to themselves and their beliefs. You’ll find that they don’t have a filter.

Mercury in Taurus
The mind is patient with Mercury in Taurus. These people are careful thinkers and they prefer to learn on their own time and at their own pace. You’ll find that they’re quite stubborn people.

Mercury in Gemini
Mercury is domicile in Gemini. The mind is quick and fast paced with Gemini Mercuries. Their mind is restless, they’re highly curious and can be excellent conversationalists. You’ll find that these people know a little bit of everything.

Mercury in Cancer
The mind is sensitive, but haunting with Mercury in Cancer. These people often have excellent memories, but may dig up memories that they prefer to be kept hidden. You’ll find that these people are soft-spoken and can calm you with their words.

Mercury in Leo
The mind is loud and bursting with life with Mercury in Leo. These people love when everyone is all ears to what they have to say and they can be excellent story tellers. You’ll find that they are protective, stubborn even, over their beliefs.

Mercury in Virgo
Mercury is domicile and exalted in Virgo. The mind is sharp and crystal clear with Virgo Mercuries. They are able to dig deep into what they’re learning about and crunching down information to make it easier to understand. You’ll find that these people possess a lot of information about many topics.

Mercury in Libra
The mind is balanced, slightly critical in speech with Mercury in Libra. They are sweet, can be perfectionists, but they aim to be fair and open minded towards everyone they encounter. You’ll find that these people have a beautiful way of speaking and even lovelier way with words.

Mercury in Scorpio
The mind is sensitive and the eyes are observant with a Mercury in Scorpio. They are seekers of the truth, human lie detectors and are usually deep in their thoughts. You’ll find that these people are fixated and private about their beliefs and opinions.

Mercury in Sagittarius
Mercury is considered detriment in Sagittarius. The mind is broad and there’s a philosophical way of thinking with Sagittarius Mercuries. They are generally open minded, but they strongly stick to their own morals and beliefs. You’ll find that these people are rather blunt and full of energy.

Mercury in Capricorn
The mind is structured and the speech if filtered with Mercury in Capricorn. They can come across as serious and authoritative with the way they deliver things, and they think before they speak. You’ll find that these people are practical and proud.

Mercury in Aquarius
The mind is innovative and clever with Mercury in Aquarius. They are quite talkative and can be deep thinkers, but they are disciplined in their thoughts as well; they think before they speak. You’ll find that these people can come up with unique, genius ideas.

Mercury in Pisces
Mercury is considered detriment and in fall in Pisces. The mind is imaginative and perceptive with Pisces Mercuries. They think deeply about what others say and could try reading between the lines. You’ll find that these people get lost in their thoughts.

The sun has just entered Pisces, marking the start of the very last sign’s season before the new Zodiac year begins. Pisces’ energy is currently very strong because Neptune (its ruler) is posited in it. From the 25th to the 27th of February, there’s a Pisces stellium composed of the sun, moon, Mercury, & Neptune, as well as Pallas and Chiron. This will be an intensely emotional period for many. Sensitivities of all kinds will overwhelm us, but since it’s a new moon and an Aries stellium (moon, Venus, Mars, Uranus) immediately follows, it should also be cleansing. The next few weeks will be a hurricane of feelings, delusions, strange dreams, psychic intake, and then volatility, powerful urges, inspiration, and intensity. It will be a lot to handle. After March 10th, when Mars enters Taurus, things should begin to settle down, although there is still a heavy excess of planets unevenly distributed in these two signs.

The most important thing to maintain for these next few weeks is self-control. Don’t let your emotions & impulses overtake you. Use this abundance of intrapersonal activity to your advantage; do some soul-searching, be creative, sort out persistent problems through intuition and determination, etc. If you remain grounded, these next two months may be very fruitful for you.

Juno Aspects
  • Juno in aspect to any planet can mean you will tend to attract a partner who has traits of the sign that planet rules. For instance, Juno aspecting Mars could attract you to an Aries type.
  • Juno Aspects the Sun: There will be a tendency to attract showy, dramatic, Leo types of partners. Conversely, this person could themselves become more showy and dramatic after marriage. The harmonious aspects (conjunction, sextile, and trine) can act in a similar fashion to Venus. They increase the charm and social graces to a degree. But Juno goes further. It can give one an air of innocence. We like people with Venus in conjunction the Sun because they are charming. Those with Juno in harmonious aspect to the Sun are liked because they are "cute." The stressful aspects, however, are indicators of ego conflicts with partners. Frequently, there are big problems with getting and holding on to a partner. In many cases, there is no desire to have a partner at all. Demetra George in her excellent book Asteroid Goddesses quotes Gloria Steinhem's famous answer to the question "Why didn't you ever get married?" Steinhem (who has the Sun in Aries square Juno in Capricorn) replied, "I don't mate well in captivity."
  • Juno Aspects the Moon: The attraction will be to emotional and nurturing partners, and domestic types. At least they will tend to be nurturing with the harmonious aspects conjunction, sextile and trine. The stressful aspects (square and opposition) can indicate a clash between your emotional and partnership needs. You could get a partner who is over-emotional or whines a lot. Conversely, the partner could bring out those traits in you.
  • Juno Aspects Mercury: Well, your partner won't be quiet. Forget the silent type. Anyone who marries you will have to communicate, communicate, communicate. The harmonious aspects (conjunction, sextile and trine) indicate good communication between the two of you. It could also show that your ability to communicate improves with partnership. The stressful aspects (square and opposition) can indicate communication problems with partners. One of you may try to stifle the other here because you both want to talk at once.
  • Juno Aspects Venus: The attraction will be to a charming partner with good artistic ability and taste. At least that will tend to be true for the harmonious aspects (conjunction, sextile and trine). The stressful aspects (square and opposition) could attract a lazy, slothful, and indolent partner. Partnership could also bring out these traits in you. With stressful aspects, there will tend to be a clash between your partnership needs (Juno) and your ability to express love and affection (Venus). As a result, you might find it difficult to express love to your partner (or vice-versa) and would seek to do this elsewhere. Years ago, there was a TV program called "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman" which was a satire on soap operas. Mary's husband had affairs with all the other women in town and was impotent only with her.
  • Juno Aspects Mars: Marriage and partnership will stir you to action. In fact, you may need a partner to be active at all. The partners you attract will tend to be active, assertive, and aggressive. Conversely, having a partner may bring out these traits in you. The stressful aspects (conjunction, square, and opposition) are indicators of arguments with partners. One of you may try to dominate the other.
  • Juno Aspects Jupiter: The partner will tend to be expansive optimistic, and "jovial" (jovial comes from Jove, Jupiter). Marriage and partnerships will also have an expansive effect on you. Yes, it can make you more optimistic. Watch out that it doesn't make you fat as well. At least this will be true for the harmonious aspects (conjunction, sextile and trine). The stressful aspects (square, and opposition) can attract an over-optimistic partner who is always expecting their "lucky break" to be right around the corner. There could also be a clash over religious or philosophical differences. The over-expansiveness could also apply to extra-marital affairs. If you have a stress aspect between Juno and Jupiter, either you or your partner might think that the "to have, hold, and love" part of the marriage vow means anyone whom you fancy at the moment.
  • Juno Aspects Saturn: The partners will tend to be older (in spirit if not in actual years). With the harmonious aspects (sextile and trine) partners are likely to be solid, practical, and dependable, but, unless there are other indicators, don't expect them to be the life of the party. Conversely, partnership could bring out the solid, practical, and dependable side of you.The stressful aspects (conjunction, square, and opposition) may cause marriage to be delayed, or even denied. If you have this one, try not to get married before your first Saturn Return (which occurs around the age of twenty nine). Stressful aspects between Juno and Saturn can have a similar effect to Saturn placed in the 7th house. An early marriage (before the Saturn Return) will slowly decay until there is no affection left and the marriage collapses. Juno/Saturn stress aspects can also indicate someone who makes a bad marriage for "practical" reasons, such as security. They will also be prone to stay in a bad marriage to protest their social image, or because "a half a loaf is better than none." As if there is anything "practical" about having a bad marriage! These people have to learn to cut their losses and make a fresh start.
  • Juno Aspects Uranus: If you have this combination in your horoscope (especially the stressful aspects, the conjunction, square, or opposition) I have a question for you. Let's say you walk into a room where there are twenty people, and nineteen of them are sane and normal, but the twentieth person either escaped from an insane asylum or just got off of a UFO, guess which one you would be most likely to marry? (Hint: it's not the first nineteen). Uranus always has to be Different. When Juno aspects Uranus, the partner or the partnership has to be different. With the harmonious aspects (sextile and trine) you don't get into as much trouble. The partner will tend to be independent, or very bright, or a bit odd. The partnership itself will likely be more "open" with each partner doing their own thing and going their own way. Uranus is fanatic about having enough of its own space. The stressful aspects can lead to several marriages. Elizabeth Taylor has Juno in Cancer square Uranus in Aries (Uranus is also in a close conjunction with Venus). Years ago, Julian Armistead gave a lecture on her chart. He had several of the press clippings that quoted her at the time of her marriages. Her first marriage to Nick Hilton: "I've never known it was possible to be this much in love. This is going to last forever." Her second marriage a couple of years later to Michael Wilding: "This time, it's the real thing. This is going to last forever." Her fifth marriage to - well who can keep track? "This time I mean it. It's the real thing." Juno in Cancer always wants it to last "forever" and Uranus always makes you think it's the "real thing." If you have a Juno/Uranus stress aspect, don't rush into marriage. And forget about having a partnership that is conventional. It would bore you to tears - and divorce. Make sure that you and your partner each has enough "space." It helps if one of you travels a lot (Uranus aspects are perfect for bi-costal marriages). Absence for this combination truly makes the heart grow fonder.
  • Juno Aspects Neptune: If you have a stressful aspect (conjunction, square, or opposition) between Juno and Neptune, please, PLEASE do not marry someone because you feel sorry for them or because you want to "save" them. Remember this magic number. If you do, you will never again have the problem of getting into a marriage for the wrong reasons. Please memorize it. It's 911. Dial that and have them taken away so they can be helped by a professional. Then, get into therapy yourself to cure your masochism. On the positive side especially with the harmonious aspects (sextile and trine) the partner will tend to be sensitive, empathetic, and imaginative. Marriage and partnership can also bring out these same traits in you. In all cases, there will be an inclination to over idealize the partner, to see what we want to see about them.
  • Juno Aspects Pluto: Partners will tend to be intense and secretive. Sex can be volcanic. Pluto is the planet of extremes, death, and transformation. Either your power or that of your partner will be affected by marriage. One of you is likely to be transformed in some way. The harmonious aspects (sextile and trine) can bring out a strength you never thought you had. The stressful aspects (conjunction, square, and opposition) will bring out strength too, in the form of dictatorial attitudes and power struggles. One of you will try to dominate the other. The feelings towards the partner can easily go from "I love you" to "I hate you" to "I'm obsessed with you." Even if the two of you break up, this will be the partner you never forget (for better or worse).
  • Juno Aspects the Ascendant: Juno in conjunction with the Ascendant makes us more attractive, like Venus. But while Venus uses charm, Juno attracts by giving us an air of innocence, like that of a young baby. This trait is also present with the other harmonious aspects (sextile and trine) but not quite as strong. The opposition is not a stressful aspect here. Remember that an opposition to the Ascendant is also a conjunction to the Descendant. The conjunction to the Ascendant makes a person more marriage oriented, especially if Juno is in the 1st house. If Juno is on the 12th house side of the Ascendant, however, then there will still be an increased desire to marry, but there will be increased restrictions of some sort (see Juno in the 12th house). With the square aspect of Juno to the Mid-Heaven, there would tend to be extra stress in marriage that requires constant adjustment and re-adjustment. At least it will not be dull.
  • Juno Aspects the Mid-Heaven: Aspects to the Mid-Heaven affect one's career and "public image." Juno-ruled careers include marriage councilor and people who work in organizations that try to prevent wife-battering and child abuse. Like Venus, Juno has an attraction for all occupations that involve beauty and adornment. This also includes anything involving the arts. When it comes to career, it doesn't matter if an aspect to the Mid-Heaven is harmonious or stressful. In fact, the stressful aspects can frequently bring greater success since they generate more power. Those with harmonious aspects may take it too easy and not push hard enough.

Summary: Nine celestial deities control the delicate balance in our galaxy. They move about freely, doing as they see fit to preserve its continuity. Immortal and unchanged by the human construct of time, they have been about since the Big Bang itself; forged from its energy, they rose. Each presides over his own realm, each very different in his own regard. With a united front they’ve kept their civilizations safe and at peace. That is, until that horrifying day. The repercussions threaten to pull the very thread that keeps this fragile system intact.

How would someone with Pluto squares show their energy? Would they be meaner or?

Sun in positive aspect to Pluto; can be very resourceful and powerful! Can easily express their desired will and intensity with out it being overwhelming for those around them. Tough cookies and have passionate relationships with males and father in life that are “for the better”

Sun in negative aspect to Pluto; can be overly intense and sometimes black and white. Can be very dominate and intimidating(unknowingly). Not easily swayed nor easily compromising and may both be and attract dangerous men and or men with control issues and domination themes. Father could be poisonous. Could also represent loss of a father. And father could just be a bit to “obsessive or involved” in ones life.

Moon in positive aspect to Pluto; this can show a extremely passionate emotional landscape. One is able to handle some of the most horrid and demanding episodes of life and still stand tall. There is a capability of seeing the good in the bad in life and using it as a means of emotional transformation. These are very strong and magnetizing individuals! Sex is linked to the emotions here and sometimes can make one feel emotionally alive. Similarly to moon in Scorpio(especially if Inconjunct). Relationships with mother and women can be categorized as intense and empowering! This is a def Feminism and women empowerment aspect for men and women.

Moon in a negative aspect to Pluto; now here there can be more chaotic and miss placed emotions. This can produce a darker emotional nature and one that requires a lot more effort to tame. There can be a tendency to be ruled by your emotions when it comes to decision making which would be wise to revise and give a moment to process before actually carrying them out. There is a fixed nature to this that makes it hard for you to listen to what others have to say and can make you quite vindictive over what life throws at you. There is still an immense amount of will and perseverance here. Relationships with women can be as mentioned above! Only a little on the obsession and unhealthy side of things.

Mercury in positive aspect to mercury; well for starters this denotes a very observant and “questioning” mind and one the is both perceptive and cunning to the undercurrents of human expression. This grants the ability to read inbetween the lines and catch on to body ques.

Mercury in negative aspect to mercury; while both positive and negative aspect to mercury can make a native sexually minded. With the harsher aspects it can be a more obsessed though in ones mind.. there can be a drive to more taboo topics but in an insensitive manner. The mind here is very willful and stubborn but the harsher aspects super charge the native to “learn” and conquer so to speak! So they might be more inclined to use their prowess.

Venus in positive aspect to Pluto; so I’d say this native has a naturally deep and intense love nature but one that isn’t to stuffy or uncomfortable for the object of their desires! Obsession and possessiveness exists with both negative and positive aspect to Venus here but for the most part the positive aspects denote to an awareness of this and their Lower tendencies thereby making them more likely to pace themselves and keep things poised. There’s a sort of vanity and pride to the positive aspects seeing as how they want to come across in a more sweet and passionate way. Women attracted here(and or men) will exhibit these traits.

Venus in negative aspect to Pluto; so here these natives are going to be straight out of a twilight novel or a dark romance film that includes and all or nothing love a fair. These natives will love hard and only seek the most passionate of lives that consume them. They are drawn to taboo and the unconventional and can be ruled by the sexual component in relationships. That being said this is a paradoxical nature due to the fact that though they are attracted to something they also fear it and don’t want anything to do with it all at once. So they often send mixed messages and avoid any decisive acts of being with another person mainly due to plutos harsh influence on their self worth and their self destructive nature when it comes to loving another person. That being said they love very hard and are the most devoted and caring people once they deal with their own issues and radiate the higher frequency of the aspect. Women and men attracted by this can be both consuming and compulsive and even toxic to the individual.

Mars in positive aspect to Pluto; here we have a powerful and energetic individual! This aspect positively grants a huge amount of drive and power to get things done! There is a keen sexual nature here but nothing to overbearing or dominating. They like to be on top in all aspects of life and won’t stop till they have it! That being said there not nearly as violent and or harsh about doing so then their counterpart. They usually are easy going and have a light Plutonian energy that makes them very attractive and magnetizing. Albeit they have a temper and it should never be provoked and they aren’t the most easily negotiated with especially if they feel as though they’re being controlled in some way. Men and or women attracted by this will be dominate/passionate and very strong willed and have a noticeable Plutonian energy about them.

Mars in a negative aspect to Pluto; okay with this aspect as I’ve met and known many people with it. It can add a very intense and powerful nature to an individual be it male or female. Because of this they can come across as intimidating and dark because of the friction and Charge created by this aspect. Unlike the above these natives are always ready for a attack or betrayal it’s just in their nature. They can be a bit paranoid that someone is out to get them.. (remember the episode of teen titans where Robbin was fighting slades ghost and was litturly projecting his paranoia of slade coming back that he ended up making slade an actual entity able to inflict actual pain on robin?) that’s the best example I could think of. And they have a very potent sexual energy about them that is both blunt and intense. But you’d never be able to tell since this aspect also shows a need for control. They are usually more dominate in bed and prefer partners who are submissive if their men and women prefer men who are dominate. They also have a black and white view on many things and can either annihilate you when their mad or go quiet and unresponsive if they care about you. Keep in mind both of these suck 😭 when they go quiet you’ll almost wish they were yelling at you instead. But if they do go quiet and they care for you it mainly means they’d rather not hurt you and would rather deal with their feelings alone. (Don’t push to much when his happens though)

Hope this helps! I know i didn’t touch up on everything and all the generational aspects but unless your dom in one of the generational planets Pluto shouldn’t do to much :/ but if you have any other questions just ask!

And minor aspects will still affect you! Like quintile/biquintile and septile, semi square and so on but it’ll be a little less potent but it’ll still be present so it’s worth learning about it if you have it as it may show up as an unconscious behavior.
Moon signs feeling sorry/apologizing

Aries: will not accept they were in the wrong so easily, will put up a big front about why they were right. will eventually grow tired and try and make it up to you by offering a truce.

Taurus: doesn’t want to talk about it or a apologize, they’re so stubborn you wont get anywhere, tries to make up for it by buying you gifts.

Gemini: admits they messed up just to get it over with, tries to explain how they messed up and what led them to it. the matter is closed quickly, there’s still lingering tension afterwards though.

Cancer: feels deep sorrow and may cry because they feel so guilty and don’t like confrontation. apologize even if they shouldn’t be the ones who are apologizing.

Leo: this is how it goes “OKAYYYY!!!! MY BAD!!! YOURE RIGHT!!! GOSHHH! THERE!!!! BUT ITS STILL YOUR FAULT!!!” 10 minutes later is trying to snuggle with you.

Virgo: looks you in the eyes, you can see them crumble and panic inside searching for a way to make things better, tries anything, cooking, hugs, offers to watch your favorite show even if it is Tinkerbell, tells you how right you are

Libra: immediately takes back whatever they said or did and makes things fair and equal for you. Doesn’t like to feel any tension in the air so they try to make things right as quickly as possible. Whatever you want they will do if it will take all the negativity out of the air.

Scorpio: has been watching your every move and payed attention to everything you have said, they will use this to manipulate their way out of apologizing

Sagittarius: apologizes fairly quickly but doesn’t go down without a fight, they know they rarely ever hurt others purposely and if they do its an accident so they will not let you make them feel like a bad person.

Capricorn: apologizes after some debating, still wont let it go but you can see that they know deep down they are sorry.

Aquarius: they know they are guilty but somehow they win you over?? wont apologize if they feel like they have you wrapped around their finger. they wont kiss and make up…just kiss

Pisces: naturally know right from wrong, will feel overwhelmed with the urge to say sorry and do whatever they can to make things right again. will literally fix whatever’s been done, no matter how big or small.

*this can apply to mercury signs as well*

So I’ve been having a really frustrating argument with an anti-vaxxer on Twitter tonight, and one of the super frustrating (but also transparent, once you know it’s coming, and it’s always coming) things that anti-vaxxers do is this particular variety of goalpost-moving where, once you assert the evidence that [mercury, aluminum, whatever] doesn’t cause autism, they’ll be like “but other thing! causes other brain injury! devastating effects on the nervous system!”

And, yeah, dude, it sure does.

But that stuff isn’t autism.  B12 deficiency causes varieties of neurological deterioration that can closely mimic dementia or severe depression.  Folate deficiency causes spina bifida.  Mercury poisoning causes, well, mercury poisoning, but we know what mercury poisoning looks like, and it isn’t autism.

None of those things are autism.  Those are different neurological disabilities, and we pretty much know what causes them, and the fact that those things do cause neurological disability does not mean they cause autism, because everything isn’t autism.

I can’t believe I have to say this, but apparently I do.  Not all neurological disabilities are autism.  Autism comprises a pretty distinctive set of features, and not only have many of those features been described incredibly consistently since something like autism was first specifically identified, but autistic people across the spectrum report certain incredibly similar experiences even when our superficial presentations look almost nothing alike.

And it’s super frustrating when anti-vaxxers do this, and yes, it proves they don’t really know the first fracking thing about autism, not that you will ever convince them of that.

But you know what?  There’s a reason why this works so well, and I absolutely hold partially culpable every doctor, every therapist, and every fucking mouse researcher who has catastrophized autism as a condition only of the worst kinds of deficits or extreme or unsocial behavior, or conflated autism with any and all inability, or sidelined autistic people’s own reports of sensorimotor, language, and processing differences in favor of pet theories.

Part of the reason why this shit is so convincing to scared parents is because actual professionals use remarkably similar language about autism.

The quacks are just managing to say more effectively to certain parents your real child was damaged, and it’s not your fault, it was the evil government/vaccine manufacturers.

But it has absolutely been the real doctors and researchers and ABA therapists, not the utter quacks, who set the stage for this to work, and who still are.  And I have had it.

Steve Trevor + Backstory

As a follow-up to my musings about Steve’s childhood (to recap: Indiana boy born in 1882 to a military father and suffragette mother who grew up with a bunch of older sisters), here’s some more conjecture about Steve’s backstory.

The evidence base I’m using for these imaginings come from:
1. Steve is a male feminist fantasy, so no fuckboi traits allowed
2. Steve is good at soldiering; “sir” comes very naturally to him
3. You can do something or you can do nothing, and Steve’s already tried nothing
4. Pine’s description of the character: “rogue-ish,” “cynical,” “realist,” “worldly,” “charming”
5. History and stuff

Education (1900-1905): Steve is a smart cookie, so I can see him doing well in school and taking classes at Butler University, at his mother’s insistence that he learn a few things about the world before the army fills his head with nonsense. At around 19, Steve would enroll in West Point, the United States Military Academy. It’ll be the first time he’s lived outside the Midwest — and the first time he’s seen the ocean. His, “Why wouldn’t I know how to sail?” comment makes me think he got teased at some point in his life for not knowing his way around the water. He probably played football and got really into the Army-Navy rivalry. Hazing was a big issue at this time, with the older classmen wanting to teach the “plebes” a lesson. Integrating southern and black cadets was also an issue.

Abridged Military Career (1905-1910): After graduation, Steve would begin phase one of his military career. At this point in history, the US is caught between isolationism and imperialism, sending soldiers to the Philippines, Nicaragua, Mexico, etc. The last conflicts of the Indian Wars were also continuing. No glory, no honor. Steve grows disillusioned with the military. His father, though privately upset by imperialism, is nonetheless deeply disappointed when Steve takes a honorable discharge and announces his intention of seeing the world without a gun in his hand.

Rogue Explorer (1910-1915): Let’s say it’s around 1910 when Steve sets off to see the world. He uses his natural charm, his smarts, and his military understanding of supply and trade routes to become a smuggler — but only to fund his travels and fun. Steve is a ladies man because he genuinely loves women. He falls for them on a regular basis and knows his mercurial nature well enough that he only pursues women who know what they’re about and can teach him a thing or twenty. He isn’t a heartbreaker; he’s spot of fun to be remembered fondly.

Steve meets Chief first and the two from a strong bond (one that acknowledges the heavy cultural baggage they left the US with). Steve meets Sameer next, probably because Sameer needs that face of Steve’s to pull off a con. The two begin to work together and bring Chief into their group. They meet up, go off on their own, meet back up — they see the world alone and together. Charlie they meet just as WWI is kicking off. He’s a soldier in the British military, and their contact for sneaking in their smuggled goods. At first, the war is good for business. It’s the “do nothing” approach. Steve tells himself that smuggling goods is helping the boys on the front lines, he’s doing a service. Besides, the US is neutral. Why shouldn’t he be? Charlie re-joins the war effort first. Then Sameer offers his services to British Intelligence. Chief stays neutral, and they all understand. Steve, who can’t stand the horrors anymore, returns to the US.

Soldier-Pilot-Spy (1915-1918): Piloting was just in its infancy when Steve begins his soldiering life again, but he takes to it like a duck to water. The US won’t officially join the war until 1917, but years before they’re offering pilot training and recruiting all the officers they can find in anticipation. That picture of Steve was probably taken in early 1917. After proving himself a competent pilot and a capable officer, British Intelligence would come knocking at his door on Sameer’s recommendation. As a white man and an officer, Steve would get an office in London, a personal secretary, and a place at the table with the brass. His father might indirectly find out his son is now a spy not a soldier and have some thoughts about that ignoble line of work.

But Steve is good at it. He speaks enough languages (at least French and German) to be useful, and his natural charm makes him a valuable operative. He proves more than effective as a honeytrap. (see: scene with Dr. Poison). Spying is an ideal blend of his rogue-soldier dichotomy. While he’s proud of his success and emphatically does not want to suffer, he harbors a deep guilt that other men — better men — are bleeding and starving and dying in the trenches. He grows cynical and numb executing his duty. The armistice and the notebook recall him to life, giving him a mission that he can believe in. Diana, of course, awakens his idealism even further.

Virgo and Gemini (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Dom, 3rd)

While some may consider being ruled by Mercury a blessing, any Virgo or Gemini will disprove your theory in a heartbeat. While they are in no way the only people to be trapped in their minds, overthink, or are constantly working from within, these people are the prime example of what can happen. These people indulge in escapist behavior through drugs and alcohol in order to finally be released from their inhibitions. Unlike Pisces and Sagittarius, they tend to have a sobering reality in their thoughts. They’re also shameless pessimists, where as their opposition are often Optimists. This imprisonment causes many problems that they create themselves. They may have self destructive behavior, or go to extreme lengths to not think for a while. Virgo falls victim to their mind more than Gemini, however. Their Earthy need for stability and order makes it more difficult for them to break free, and their knack for routine can make their escapism fall into a sort of routine – also known as an addiction to the substance or activity of their choice. (However, it is very rare that Virgo would indulge in an activity for this). (Mercury Doms will likely relate as well, or Mercury in 3rd).

On making retrogrades work for you

When a planet goes into a retrograde period its energy becomes somewhat distorted from its natural expression. Retrograde periods are times in which we have access to a different flavor of the planetary energy, and are able to grasp at it in different ways than normal. This of course means that all of the “normal” ways of utilizing this energy become more difficult, but we are offered a rare chance to delve into pieces of ourselves that are normally off limits.

To see the areas of life affected by this shift of energy you should look to your natal chart. Where in your chart does said planet rule? These houses, as well as the house in which the retrograde occurs are going to be focal points for the shift in planetary energy.

Let’s take a look at an example:

Mercury Retrograde:

In my natal chart, Mercury rules both the 12th(via Gemini) and 3rd(via Virgo) houses. When Mercury goes retrograde, I have much more desire to seclude myself from others, and focus on the internal, subconscious workings of my mind (12th house). In addition to this, I typically have a hard time reaching out to others and communicating with them. Like pretty much everyone I have the usual disruptions of communication and technology, but for me there is another layer of this. It becomes difficult to properly convey what’s going on in my mind, and I sometimes have to work very hard to word things correctly before I’m comfortable sending messages/responding to people. While this can be common for someone with say a natal retrograde of Mercury, my Mercury is well placed in both Libra and the 3rd House, meaning that typically I have little to no problems with this.

This time around Mercury is retrograding in my 6th House. This means that in addition to my usual issues with MercRx (H12/H3) I will be additionally affected in areas having to deal with this house. This means that communications with coworkers might break down or have issues. I may be forced to re-examine my daily routines and my attitudes toward my physical health and diet. These things will become a focal point for me and I’ll need to think about whether or not there are things in this area of my life that no longer serve me, and therefore should be let go.

So many people see retrograde periods as monstrous periods of time when everything seems to go wrong, but if you can identify where you’ll be affected you can better use the shifted energy to your advantage.

I know that when Mercury goes retrograde it will be a period of intense self-reflection, and a time in which I am forced to reconnect with myself because I am unable to connect with others. For this reason I take more time for myself than usual, and I don’t force myself to be social if I don’t feel like it. Mercury Retrograde in particular has become a fruitful time for me, as I’m able to reconnect with myself, reevaluate who I am as a person, and the goals that I’ve set for myself. I’m able to take time to intellectualize and examine old habits and skills (H3) and let go of things that are no longer serving me (H12).

Other retrogrades affect us similarly, but outer planets tend to have a much more subtle effect since their transits are longer and slower moving.
I encourage you to look to the houses ruled by retrograding planets and make retrogrades work for you, rather than constantly working against a retrograde.

Mercury retrograde is strong now because of Mercury Opposite Neptune in the sky!

I think it has to be stated:

The reason why this Mercury Retrograde is confusing and chaulk full of troubles for people goes BEYOND the surface of “Retrograde fear.”

This Mercury retrograde occurs in the vacuum of Mercury in Virgo opposite Neptune in Pisces.  Both of these planets are in their strongest placements at this time. During the shadow period , actual retrograde and exit period Mercury is going to pass through this aspect constantly.  This aspect wiil bring cause daydreaming, sleep issues, endless confusion, indecision, loss of train of thought, misunderstandings, car accidents, problems with communication, focus issues and troubles with routine.

Do all of these issues sound familiar with all of the “Don’t do this posts, blogs and webpages” you see during Mercury retrograde?  Well it’s because of Mercury opposite Neptune in the sky.
