mercedes benz 280se

1961 Mercedes-Benz 220 SE (W111).

This 220 SE expands our W111 coupé/convertible range to the „lower“ end, if one may say so. To be exact, only the 300 SE convertible and 280 SE coupé and convertible are missing to complete the series on Autowahn. As of May 2017, our lineup includes:

• the 220 SE coupé

• this 220 SE coupé here

• the 250 SE coupé

• the 250 SE convertible

• the 280 SE 3.5 coupé

• the 280 SE 3.5 convertible

• the iconic 300 SE coupé

Mercedes-Benz 280SE 3.5 convertible (W111).

About $13k when new, good ones are going for several hundred thousand dollars today.  Was ‘classic’ the minute it rolled off the production line… never went through a ‘used car’ phase.  About 1500 made.
