easter sunday repost because i miss the places where i filmed this video - the ocean at night, counting the backs of grey whales in the distance by day, the pitch black forest roads and the milky way above our heads, all under the 24/7 surveillance of light beams shining through a 1908 fresnel lens, affectionately named “golden alien egg” by me, passing you exactly every ten seconds, illuminating people’s faces for just long enough to see them, but short enough for you to think they might just be some sort of apparition, long gone light house keepers, time travelers, mermaids with brand new legs, shipwrecked sailors, axe murderers, spellbound sea lions, ghosts.
