“I must say, I find that girl utterly delightful. Flat as a board, enormous birthmark the shape of Mexico over half her face, sweating for hours on end in that sweltering kitchen, while Mendl, genius though he is, looms over her like a hulking gorilla. Yet without question, without fail, always and invariably, she’s exceedingly lovely.”

“You don’t smell like roses anymore,” he said, then wanted to kick himself. He shouldn’t be noticing her scent.
   “I probably smell like boat.”
No, she smelled sweet, perfect like … “Toffee?”
Her eyes slid away guiltily. “Kaz said to pack what we needed for the journey. A girl has to eat.” She reached into her pocket and drew out a bag of toffees. “Want one?”

   Yes. “No.”
She shrugged and popped one in her mouth. Her eyes rolled back, and she sighed happily. “So good.”

A rare and important Elsa Schiaparelli ‘Hall of Mirrors’ jacket, 'Zodiac’ collection, Autumn-Winter, 1938-39,

Black silk velvet with shirred gathered panels over the shoulders, the front applied with baroque gilt strip cartouches, the strapwork in-filled with sequins in varying sizes, the centres with mirror mosaics held in place with gilt star-shaped glass studs, with four figurative moulded composition buttons, the neo-classical style heads with flowing tresses.

This is arguably one of the most dazzling of all Schiaparelli’s creations. Her 'Zodiac’ collection, presented in August 1938, drew on two main themes - astrology and the magnificence of the Palace of Versailles. The seventeen massive archways of the Galerie des Glaces, each filled with twenty one mirrors, must have been the inspiration for the jacket decoration. Schiaparelli was a frequent visitor to Versailles where her friend Lady Mendl (Elsie de Wolfe), the celebrated American interior designer, had made her home at the Villa Trianon in the grounds.

Summary: In which he wants her back…

He has the tune all set up, sounds blending one with another in the speakers. It’s only the words that don’t come easy to him and he stares, just stares at the blank page on the glass table in front of him. His fingers run lazily through his messy hair while he’s resting his chin on his bony knees. He’s G-Dragon, composer, performer, artist! How can words not go easy on him?!

“What are you doing? Are you eating well? Is work tiresome? Are you still going to sleep after a beer?” He chants to himself while staring at the phone put away, out of his reach. ‘Cause he’s weak and he knows better than anyone else that he can easily fall into temptation… “Can’t you call me at least once?” He whispers before walking out of the studio, leaving all lights turned on and his phone behind.

The streets are empty, no one to see his tired self enjoying the windy night with a can of beer in his hand. His legs carry him around the twisted alleys where only dogs disturb him with their barking, only to come to a sudden halt under a solitary street lamp in front of a grey brick house.
