memorable tweet

anonymous asked:

Instead of responding to the scads of tweets about the speedo or the CG concert, Darren replies yesterday to a tweet that mentions tumblr. And was from May 27th. Just another coincidence, I guess.

Anon, yes, how about those coincidences?  It is incredible how many of them we continue to get time and time again.  Crazy!

Yesterday, Darren took the time to respond to two tweets.  And this particular one caused quite the reaction. Because he once again inferred that he trolls tumblr. Who can blame him, he is quite the topic of conversation, so I suppose a caution, be careful what you write, you never know who might be reading:)

But, even more interesting. This tweet was posted on May 27, 2017. Yet Darren waiting until June 5, 2017 to respond (which begs the question, did he read it and save it for a time that might have more impact. We did get a cc fic about Darren having a blog  yesterday (x) by @hestherewithme).

Think about how many tweets Darren has been tagged in since May 27.  Nude selfie.  A successful concert. I think we all know without even checking that he was tagged even more than usual. Yet he chose this particular tweet sent on May 27 about this girls obsession with tumblr 4 years ago for his response.

4 years ago?  What is significant about that time frame that might possibly be related to Chris’ birthday.

How about this memorable tweet that is still very applicable today.

Amazing how these two men continue to outsmart them all and continue to reference and allude to the truth. It is all there. You just have to pay attention to what they are saying.

This shouldn’t have to be emphasized over and over again..

Read this tweet and memorize it. Let it sink in. Platonic friendships exist.

Unfortunately this is a thing viewers constantly have to be reminded of in the YouTube community.

Please be respectful and refrain from making accusations.

Brief History of Homestuck and Hussie, from my shoddy memory:

Acts 1-4: hussie is accessible and conversational. he knows many of the people in the mspa forums by name as longtime fans

Act 5: hussie is like damn this got popular all of a sudden. can’t really keep up with the fandom much but still answers questions, a few of which (like the way trolls names are pronounced, and what trolls are packing) cause uproars in the community

Act 6: Alpha kids arc sparks some heavier questions about characters and drama and authorial intent. Hussie answers with his thoughts on the characters honestly. (Mostly a lengthy defense of Jane, if I remember it correctly.) Begins to express frustration with Tumblr (the fandom) that anything he says will be misinterpreted and that Tumblr (the website, as it was coded in 2012) allowed for people to alter his posts to make it look like he was saying things he wasn’t.

Act 6 cont.: Hussie begins to express outright irritability at the fandom. Mocks the obsession with the kids’ races with the Trickster arc. Mocks fandom mischaracterizations and tumblr cultural in general with the New Trolls. Generally carries a kind of shitty attitude towards the fans.

Act 6 cont.: “he’s dead, jim.”

Act 6 cont.: homestuck returns. It’s a lot gayer and there’s a lot more character interaction, two things the fandom wanted most. Most agree its missing something though. Hussie is on radio silence but vague posts from friends imply he is Not Well between the kickstarter debacle and the growing pauses between content.

Act 6 cont.: “he’s dead, jim"x2Combo

Act 6 cont.: at some point Hussie deletes entire contents of his twitter other than a few memorable horse tweets

Act 6 cont.: “here’s the fuckign end of homestuck. See y'all in January 2017.”

  • #thirsty
  • Capricorn: I shouldn't read into the fact that my family got me a new scrabble board (the one that swivels!) &cat treats for Christmas, right? Am I 85?
  • Aquarius: At the fancy hotel, I may have broken the fancy curtains because I didn't know they have a fancy electric button you push to close them. Hm.
