“Temple of Millions of Years” of King Ramses III at west ‘Uaset’-Thebes, detail from the north wall of the Second Court: the prow of the sacred barque of the God Amon-Ra. On the prow’s finial is represented the ram’s head of Amon-Ra wearing the Solar disk with the Uraeus. To the left, a Goddess wearing the cow’s horns and the Solar disk, Maat, and Upuaut in His form of human-headed jackal upon a standard (below, the 'Udjat’-Eye). To the right, various offerings.
Every time I visit Medinet-Habu temple, I want to whisper to Djehuty “Please stop being so stunningly beautiful” :) And I feel my heart melting down… I really love this temple :) it’s one of my biggest favorites over all Egypt.
