The narrow mediaeval streets of Valletta, capital of The Republic of Malta, a Southern European country situated in the centre of the Mediterranean. Malta covers just over 316 km2 (122 sq mi) in land area, making it one of the world’s smallest and most densely populated countries. (photograph Tim Jordan)

This is the Landgate, the only remaining gate of the original four of the walled city of Rye, the enchanted little village time forgot that sits on a hillside on the southern coast of East Sussex, England. There are dozens of reasons why Rye is the Moste Magical Place On Earth and they’re scattered throughout my Archives if you want to look for them. It’s like a treasure hunt, see!!

This is the entrance to the town of cobbled streets, secret passageways, smugglers’ hideouts, half-timbred Tudor houses, supernatural happenings and more history and charm than you can possibly imagine. REALLY IT IS. (image from Canis Major)
