Can you explain a little more?
Okay, well the short version is that, for me, the equality campaign is supposed to be about having sexuality not be a hot topic of discussion, or one at all. Obviously it’s important to me to know a guy’s sexuality so I know whether or not I can date him, but beyond that, the whole point of what we’re fighting for is to end discrimination. I don’t really see how we can hope to reach equality by continually making a big deal about announcing our sexuality. It should be as inconsequential as your nationality or ethnicity (if it’s visually unclear) or your course of education, meaning that it’s something that’s worth knowing given the proper circumstances, but certainly not something worth proudly announcing to everyone.
