meat fuzzy lumpkins

And here’s a new installment of PPG Evolution! This time it’s on the Girl’s teacher Miss Keane! Yeah looking back she kinda looks odd in “Meat Fuzzy Lumpkins”, and here’s a pic of her in the series and was given a name, then here’s how she looks in the movie/post-movie series. She appears as the girls’ Junior High teacher in PPGZ and she has a underground monster for a boyfriend (sorry Mojo!). The final pic is how she looks in the 2016 series.

Like Bubbles she was voiced by Kath Soucie in “Meat Fuzzy Lumpkins” but for reasons I’m trying to figure out Kath no longer voices Miss Keane and Bubbles so Jennifer Hale took over the role for the rest of the franchise while Tabitha St Germain is Miss Keane in the rarely seen english dub of PPGZ.

As many of you art lovers can guess, yes she is named after Margaret D. H. Keene, the creator of those pictures with the big eyed waifs and the focus of “Tim Burton’s Big Eyes”.

oh no i'm sorry I meant the ppg gem fusions! my mistake it was one of those moment where your brain misses the word hah! sorry!

OH~! Yeah, that I can answer better. XD no worries, mistakes happen

Lets see…

Smoky Quartz (Blos/BC): I had the image of one of those snobby anime girls who think they’re better than everyone when I designed her. The highschool ‘princess’ type, ya know? She’s very cocky & sure of herself, and throws either backhanded compliments or passive aggressive comments at people. She’s very focused when she needs to fight, but she gets progressively angrier if they start going badly or not going how she wants them to.

She’s totally loves Bubbles/Blue Lace Agate though~ She’ll constantly try & spoil her, protect her, or hug her whenever she has the chance. And god forbid if any of their enemies actually hurt Blue or poof her. There’s…a lot of collateral damage in those moments. XD

Aqua Chalcedony (BC/Bub): Aqua’s a little harder to describe I guess. She’s basically a combination of Buttercup’s smart alec-ness & Bubbles’ hyperactivity. She’s a bit of a goofball, really. :P She doesn’t take following orders too well, since she likes to go & do her own thing. She’s very reckless that way, & I see of Buttercup’s personality dominating more of the decision making.

For as immature & funloving as she is though, she’s very, veeeeerrrry easily pissed off. Seriously have you seen Bubbles in the ‘Meat Fuzzy Lumpkins’ short?? And combining that with Buttercup’s usual temper?? JFC X_X

Kunzite (Blos/Bub): Think Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time. Because that’s basically her. XD I didn’t even mean for her to turn out that way even in the way she looks, but Kunzite is basically sweet, motherly, & very smart. And if you go against what she wants then you’re gonna get one hell of an earful. She’s constantly treating everyone like one would talk to a 5-yr old. So she’s a bit of a know-it-all & thinks she knows what’s best for everyone all the time, even though that comes from very genuine feelings of care & love for everyone.

While the series itself didn’t premiere on Cartoon Network until 1998, the trio of crime-fighting toddlers first appeared on Cartoon Network, TNT, and TBS in the pilot The Powerpuff Girls in: Meat Fuzzy Lumpkins exactly twenty years ago, on February 20, 1995.

The girls will come back in a new series set to premiere next year.
