JANE OPENS UP TO JENNY ABOUT HER PAST

Today we continue our journey through Call The Midwife Series 2 Episode 4.

Jenny is curious about how Jane knows St Gideon’s so well. She asks Jane if she used to work at St Gideon’s. Following a brief moment of hesitation, Jane tells Jenny that she used to be a patient at the home.

Jane then goes on to tell Jenny that she became a Trustee and it was through St Gideon’s that she met Sister Julienne whom she says was very kind to her.

Jenny tells Jane she will not tell the others back at Nonnatus House. Jane looks relieved.

Jenny asks Jane if St Gideon’s is an adequate place for a child to grow up in, Jane tells Jenny that the staff would do their best.

MRS PEACOCK GIVES JENNY ADVICE

Today we continue our journey through Call The Midwife Series 2 Episode 4.

Jenny tells Mrs Peacock that she feels really bad for not being able to understand Jacob. Mrs Peacock is very reassuring telling Jenny it comes with time and as for Jacob Mrs Peacock tells Jenny that he is as cheeky as a monkey but bright as a button.

Seeing how kind Mrs Peacock is and the relaxed environment of St Gideon’s, Jenny tells Mrs Peacock that she has a family who could benefit from St Gideon’s.

Mrs Peacock tells Jenny that St Gideon’s is a home in name only, it is NOT home. She goes on to give Jenny some words of advice. Mrs Peacock advises Jenny to do everything she can to ensure the child stays with their family
