❝My experiences in love have taught me difficult lessons, especially my experiences with crazy love. The red relationships. The ones that went from zero to a hundred miles per hour and then hit a wall and exploded. And it was awful. And ridiculous. And desperate. And thrilling. And when the dust settled, it was something I’d never take back. Because there is something to be said for being young and needing someone so badly, you jump in head first without looking. And there’s something to be learned from waiting all day for a train that’s never coming. And there’s something to be proud of about moving on and realizing that real love shines golden like starlight, and doesn’t fade or spontaneously combust. Maybe I’ll write a whole album about that kind of love if I ever find it. But this album is about the other kids of love that I’ve recently fallen in and out of. Love that was treacherous, sad, beautiful, and tragic. But most of all, this record is about love that was red.❞ // October 22, 2012
we were staying in paris: kala and wolfgang headcanons
So normally I don’t write headcanons/fanfic because I much prefer reading other people’s work but I couldn’t get these out of my head so that must mean I need to write them down. And also because I’m feeling more upset than usual regarding The News.
Kala is excited to see all the sights and do all the tourist things with Wolfgang. Wolfie doesn’t care much where they go or what they see. He’s just so happy that he’s there, with Kala, in the flesh.
Wolfie gladly acts as Kala’s boyfriend photographer and takes all her photos as she poses by the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, and various other landmarks. He’s amused at her excitement and absolute wonder at seeing all these famous things and finds it so infectious.
Kala insists that Wolfie should also get his solo pictures at each place they visit because “don’t you want photos to remember this by” but he only wants his pictures taken if Kala is in them too.
They ask fellow tourists to take their pictures. In each one Wolfie never looks at the camera because he’s always looking at Kala as if he can’t believe she’s really there next to him, with his arm around her waist and her hand on his chest.
Kala gets her sweet tooth growing up with her dad Sanyam’s delicious desserts, so she’s eager to try all the French pastries. Her favorite is
mille-feuille. Wolfgang doesn’t like sweet things at all but is always down for their café. However, he never turns Kala down when she asks him to try her dessert of the moment.
Everywhere they go they are holding hands. Not just because it feels so good to be able to touch each other for real, but because they want people to know that they’re together and happy and in love.
Once they’re back in their flat, Kala enthusiastically shows the photos on her camera to the rest of the cluster, who all visit them at their place.
Nomi can’t help but laugh at Wolfgang never looking at the camera because he’s too busy being in awe of Kala. She teases Wolfie that “you look like you’re in the presence of a goddess" to which he unashamedly replies, “Well, it’s true.” Kala blushes like crazy.
