Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons and boyfriend Todd Spiewak marry at swanky ceremony in New York

JIM Parsons and his long-term partner Todd Spiewak has tied the knot at an intimate ceremony in New York.

The Big Bang Theory star and the graphic designer wed in front of close friends and family – including his on-screen love interest Mayim Bialik – at the Rainbow Room at Rockefeller Centre on Saturday night, his publicist has confirmed.

Parsons, who plays Sheldon Cooper on the hit US sitcom, took to Instagram on Monday to share a photo of himself and Spiewak holding hands while walking down the aisle in matching Tom Ford tuxedos.

He also posted a photo of the happy newlyweds heading out for their first dance.

Parsons thanked friend and wedding planner Melissa McNeeley for making the swanky celebration a success.

“She’s our best friend, she was our wedding planner, she was our officiant and she played all three parts brilliantly this past Saturday: thank you and love you, @melissamcneeley” Parsons wrote on Instagram, adding “that Chuppah ain’t bad, either”.

Parsons came out in a 2012 New York Times profile where he revealed he was in a same-sex relationship.

He said that meeting Spiewak 14 years ago was the best thing that ever happened to him.
