may on egg

I’ve seen a lot of people are criticizing the new Mei’s short for the lack of new plot points and I just want to say this: The short is important for us Asians especially when it’s about Mei’s character (i won’t get into this because you may know the things which make her special to us).

Representation is important, although the plot is not new, it still evokes lots of emotions and this helps Mei to grow fuller as a character, especially when she hadn’t had her own thing before this.

So please keep this into consideration, give blizzard both the criticism and the credits they deserve.

Hi destiny! I love your FFXV and KH interactions so much they're all so cute~ I wondered if you had any personal headcannons for their interactions that you haven't mentioned yet? Just any random little things that you've thought about but stuff that maybe isn't enough for a drawing/comic? Just curious~

I’m glad you like them, Anon! Hmm… Let’s see…

FFXV x KH Headcanons That I Have But Probably Won’t Doodle Part 1(?)

  • Sora really wants to take the Regalia for a spin and Ignis is Very Much Opposed (I mean. I can’t blame him. Here’s a well-meaning but somewhat reckless and excitable boy from literally another planet and he wants to drive the Very Expensive Car??? No!!!)
    • But Noct and Prom see how disappointed Sora is that Ignis won’t let him give the Regalia a spin so while Ignis is otherwise occupied, they sneak to the car and stuff that dorkupine into the driver’s seat
    • Sora’s an average driver but
    • Oh boy
    • The Regalia Type F
    • As soon as that baby is airborne, Sora flies it like he was born to do it. Our little ace pilot boy is gliding and twirling that flying car and everyone is so impressed.
    • Including Ignis and Gladio who see the car from the ground
    • After that, whenever the Regalia needs to take to the skies, Sora’s the one at the controls
  • Sora is a picky eater and he hates spicy food. But he will not tell Ignis about his preferences since he’s embarrassed about his pickiness. (Don’t make fun of picky eaters, guys!) He forces himself to eat whatever Ignis cooks until he’s not hungry anymore, and then he finds a way to discreetly get rid of the rest of his food
    • Yes he usually tries to feed it to nearby animals.
    • Yes he accidentally feeds brussels sprouts to a daemon
    • Yes Ignis rushes to his aid and immediately the jig is up. But Ignis senses Sora’s embarrassment and doesn’t approach him directly about his food preferences
    • So Ignis works on being even more Observant than usual during mealtimes and picks up on what Sora likes and doesn’t like. He doesn’t always accommodate Sora! But each meal usually includes at least a side dish that he knows Sora likes
  • Sora almost beats Gladio in an arm wrestling match and this fact keeps Gladio up that night
    • Sora has cut through buildings and sliced through rock. Kid’s a beast.
  • Sora summons Tinkerbell and the boys all get to fly around for a while! Yay!!!
    • Ignis is pretty tense the entire time he’s in the air. I don’t think he’d enjoy flying very much
    • Prompto on the other hand
      • WHOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
    • Noctis can’t stop giggling. He is having so much fun it is SO CUTE
    • Yes the boys have used pixie dust to float over mountains they’re too lazy to hike up
  • Sora is used to blazing island heat, so he’s usually not suffering in the desert as much as the other boys are
    • But he does get cold much more easily
    • He usually needs extra blankets in the tent. He becomes a little sleeping bag burrito with only the brown spikes of his hair sticking out of the top.
  • Sora likes to sleep under the stars sometimes. He likes to look up and think about all the worlds out there and hopes his friends are doing okay. It comforts him and helps him fall asleep.
    • Yes sometimes the other bros join him! :)
  • Story time around the campfire!!
    • Sora loves hearing embarrassing stories from the chocobros’ childhoods
      • Gladio and Ignis have sooooooo much dirt on babby Noctis growing up
        • Like the time he tried to be a mother hen by stealing eggs from the kitchens, folding them up in a Very Expensive pillow, and sitting on them. Crushing all of the eggs inside. Noctis thought he’d killed the unborn chicks and oh my GOD how he CRIED!!!!
    • Sora tells them about the other worlds he’s visited
      • Everyone wants to go to Neverland since not growing up would be Nice
        • Sora wishing and wishing during the long night that they’d all just gone to Neverland and stayed there forever.

Ever get worried that all the egg shells used in the world have some kind of weird sci-fi style connection and at any point they can call out to each other and reconnect? Like, where do they all go? There must be thousands of tons of discarded egg shells out there. And do you worry that if they do call on each other, they do travel to reunite, that they may form some gargantuan egg shell monster and destroy us all for breaking their fine exoskeletons? Well, do you?

I’m pretty late lmao but happy may the 4th y’all

Damn! Damn! Damn! Every year he forgot. Well, no. He never forgot. He just put the memories away, like old silverware that you didn’t want to tarnish. And every year they came back, sharp and sparkling, and stabbed him in the heart. And today, of all days …

The male jacana chosen to parent the chicks, called the receiver, is a devoted father.  He will construct a floating nest by uprooting aquatic plants and stamping or shoving them together to create a dense and tough platform.  He may create several of these nests at several different sites before the female is satisfied with one.  After she has laid the eggs, parenting falls almost entirely on him; the female may shade the eggs from strong sunlight, defend the nest from predators, or incubate the eggs if the male is having a hard time finding food, but otherwise she is uninvolved.  Incubating the eggs is the male’s responsibility; he will even move the eggs to a different site if he feels the nest is unsafe.

After the chicks are born, they rarely leave their father’s side; he will guide them to food, keep them warm, and violently chase rivals away.  The male African jacana (last three images) goes one step further; should danger present itself, the male can literally tuck his chicks under his wings and carry them away.

Reconciliation Spell Bottle

This spell bottle is to help reconcile with an old friend or lover after you get back in touch, especially when a bad fight or hurt feelings were the reason you parted ways.

Ingredients and supplies:

  • Egg Shell
  • Juniper Berries
  • Sage
  • Rosemary
  • Lavender
  • White and Black candles
  • Two small pieces of paper and pencil
  • A cauldron, or other safe vessel to burn things in
  • A small bottle or jar, with a lid
  • A cleansing method of your choice. I used my bundle of sage and lavender.
  • Optional: Fire-safe tongs, if you’re uncomfortable holding onto something that is burning
  • Optional: Crystals relating to your intent. I used rose quartz for love, amethyst for healing, and lapis lazuli for protection.
  • Optional: Incense relating to your intent, a cleansing incense like sandlewood, or a meditative or calming incense,
  • Optional: Moon Water

*Ideally, all of your herbs should be dried, as these are less likely to cause mold when stored long-term in a sealed container.

I started off by lighting both of my candles and my incense and reflecting on the negative feelings I was having surrounding the person in question. I then took one of my pieces of paper and wrote down the person’s name in the center, followed by all of the negative emotions literally surrounding the name on the paper. Write them as many times as you need to to feel like they are all laid down bare before you, and you have them all out.

Once I finished, I folded this page up until the feelings were minimized in a tiny bundle, then lit it on fire with the black candle (for banishment) and dropped it in my cauldron to burn before blowing out the candle. As it burned, I repeated the words, “With this fire, I purge the negativity in my life surrounding (name).” Once the paper had burned to ashes, I brought the ashes outside and threw them to the wind to make what was left of my negativity disappear.

Next, to ensure there were no traces of the negative energy in my work-space, I cleansed the area and all of my materials with my sage and lavender bundle. I wiped out my cauldron, making sure to get every last bit of ash out, as well as wiped it clean with a bit of moon water. Once this was done, I placed my crystals into the jars containing my ingredients for an added energy boost. The lapis lazuli with my egg shells, the rose quartz with my rosemary, and the amethyst with my lavender.

As these sat and absorbed energy from the crystals, I took my second piece of paper, again, writing the name of the person in the center. Surrounding this, I wrote all of my intentions. You could also create a sigil for this, if you’re so inclined. Some of the things I wrote were, “ I am free from hurt.” “I forgive you.” “I forgive myself.” “I am free from negativity.” “I am free from guilt.” “I am full of love.” Once I felt like everything was out there and there was nothing left to say, I folded the paper just once and lit it with my white candle (for cleansing, action, and energy) and dropped it into my cauldron. As it burned, I repeated the words, “With this fire, I charge the written words so that they may be brought forth to action.”

After the paper burned, I placed those ashes in my jar, reciting, “May the ashes of my words provide the foundation for which this spell may act.”
Next, the sage: “May this sage cleanse my spirit of negativity and allow my heart the freedom it deserves.”
Next, the rosemary: “May this rosemary provide remembrance of the happy memories we once shared, in hopes that love may blossom once more.”
Next, the juniper berries: “May this juniper banish the ugliness of the past.”
Next, egg shells: “May these egg shells protect me from future negativity and hurt.”
And finally, the lavender: “May this lavender bring forth healing, and peace, so that hurt may never fill my heart again.

I left the jar half full, signifying an open heart that always has room for more love, and ample room for more happy memories to soon fill the space. Finally, I sealed the jar with white wax.
