Wakesurfing the Maumee

Some videos from a recent evening on the Maumee River near Perrysberg on Rick’s boat with John and Chad.

Video #1 - Wakeboarding Sunset

John took this video of Rick; and I lightened it up a bit, added music and stabilized using YouTube’s video editor.

Video #2 - Wakeboarding Sunset

Shorter video of Rick crashing and everyone on the boat. Edited this one using YouTube’s video editor as well.

Video #3 - Wakesurfing Hand-Off

Video that Rick mostly filmed while wakesurfing, using my Nikon AW100 waterproof camera, attached to a homemade flotation device.

Video #4 - Me Wakesurfing

Video of me catching a wave, probably the second longest I’ve ridden a wave so far, but definitely the best video of me riding a wave!

Body of former NFL player James Hardy found in Indiana river

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Authorities say former NFL wide receiver James Hardy has been found dead in a river in northeast Indiana.

The Allen County Coroner’s Office says the 31-year-old’s body was identified Thursday, but that the cause and manner of death are still being investigated.

The coroner says the former Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens player was reported missing a few weeks ago by relatives. His body was discovered Wednesday in the Maumee River in Fort Wayne.

The former Indiana University star was drafted in the second round of the 2008 NFL draft by the Bills. A series of injuries limited him to 16 games over two seasons in Buffalo. He also played for Baltimore before being released in 2011.

Police say an employee of Fort Wayne’s water filtration plant discovered his body.

09.01.17 // Not really studyblr, but today was a productive day, as well as a long one. My mom and I drove to pick up my brother from his university so he could come home for Labor Day weekend. On the way we stopped at Starbucks because I just had to have another strawberry green tea infusion lol. Heading to and from the school, we pass over the Maumee River [photo 2], featuring the city of Toledo, Ohio on the shore to the right, and Lake Erie/Sandusky Bay [photo 3]. I hate water but I will never deny how beautiful it is.

Vanity – ALSDEAD // this song is kind of heavy, reminding me of how I feel inside but the melodies he sings sound… lonely and distant, which also meshes with my inner emotions. This song really stuck with me today. I listened to it about… four or five times. The song makes me remember how sad or empty I am inside lmfao. Some songs just bring up things you had forgotten about or suppressed, I suppose.
