‘Current’ - 12" x 22’-6" x 8" - Aluminum Cable, Steel - Sculpture for Duke Energy Progress using remnants from spools of power transmission cable - part of a larger project built completely with elements used in power transmission systems.
The final sculpture in a series of 16 pieces created for a major energy company using a wide variety of found and supplied electrical components. A different piece was created for each floor of their recently renovated headquarters building. This was the only free standing piece in the series and uses the largest components. The insulators were stamped with dates on the ends indicating manufacturing in the 1970s.
